"For Jack Flap" She says "To learn his past. Don't worry, I haven't reported him found or anything.. not yet"

Reaching out He pokes a passing Dagmar with a finger in the ribs from his lurking spot.

"Mm." A nod, her brow furrowing. "I suspect his fingerprints would not be on much. If he played the music to relax targets, he would not likely also touch anything during the crime."

Vali says "I had a talk with the boy.. Chief, I think a lot of his 'gang' were thallian. You know how I feel about Thallian. "

A tiny squawk. "Oh, hey."

"I do not like them either, Vali." Her expression suggests this may be trollish understatement.

A glance at Dagmar as she squawks, and only then does she notice Symon. A nod to the boy.

A small smirk to Dagmar, and a nod to the Chieftain.

"Well, I want in if we trail and track them" He says

Anne Marie sighs "I am more concerned about Jack. Finding out who he was, the damage we need to undo. Does he have family?"

Vali turns to see Symon, and looks surprised Man, either I'm tired or the kid is g etting GOOOOD

"I believe we are getting closer to being able to ask those questions, Anne Marie. But I do not want to interrogate him too soon."

He may not loom protectively over her as a troll would, but he lurks protectively from the shadows.

A bemused look. "He made breakfast for me this morning. Flapjacks."

"Can somebody do soothsay stuff?"

"And... a moment, please..." She goes into the kitchen...and soon returns with the picture Jack drew, showing him between Brekke and Frank outside the Lodge. "There is this."

Anne Marie says "oh my" As it comes out.

Vali raises a brow "mmm the proportions are off... and your hand looks too much like Hellboys"

Anne Marie looks at Vali and huffs, then turns to Dagmar "We could, omen the boy and the like.. but spying on thallian we have never met with tattle tale would be harder"

An eyebrow at Vali. "It is a fine picture."

Something in her brow has Vali decidde not to argue "Very heart felt"

"And I believe you know some soothsay, correct? Do you have the skill to see his past?"

"Chronos? No, afraid not.. Soothsay yes. Chronos? Nope." A sigh from Vali "Be nice to have. Want me to omen it and see what I get?" Meaning the drawing

"Becareful with it, Sir Vali" Anne Marie says "it's precious."

"Omen the boy, maybe - see parents? Dunno."

"Perhaps. I do not know if we still have the clothes he arrived in...."

"It's usually more specific to the person" Vali says "But yes I can definitely try that too."

Symon shifts his weight a bit as Vali discusses his cantrip options, but remains silent.

Anne Marie looks over at Symon as if sensing his movement like a T rex in a movie. A hugging cookie baking t rex

"Doesn't sound like he remembers them much."

Brekke also looks to the boy. "Symon...do you have arts that would apply here? I know you have diagnosed illness in trees, but I do not know what other abilities you have."

"Is there a magic to help bring out memories?"

Ann Marie may remember something from earlier. An argument over who broke a jar in her kitchen. Symon has focused on the jar for a while, and then in a surprise, claimed Lovecraft as the guilty party rather than Dirk (who had merely emptied the jar) and taken responsibility for replacement.

"It could be traumatizing to the boy to use dream craft on him" Anne Marie says "But that might do it. Rover Olgar scares him though I fear"

"That may be an approach to take," she nods to Anne Marie, "but it is too soon yet."

Anne Marie motions to Symon

He hesitates under the Chief’s direct gaze, then says something. “...kin... nos.”

A frown, moving closer, and he repeats audibly this time.

“I’ve been working on Chronos.”

Anne Marie looks at Symon "If we got one of his old clothes, would you use it on it? Could you, dear?"

A blink. "That would be very helpful."

Vali headwhips "Where did you learn Chronos? The nobles guard that only a little less well than they do naming"

"Where he learned it is not the point, Sir Vali" Anne Marie's chin goes up, "My Symon is talented and smart and I commend him for learning"

"Sir Vali," Brekke says evenly, "I think that we have every right to allow Symon to keep his teacher a secret, for that very reason."

“Can’t promise it will work. Especially if they’ve been washed.” A glance to Anne Marie and he adds, “But I can try.” A scowl at Vali, and looks like he would say something- but then just blinks as AM jumps to his defense. And... a little smirk, perhaps.

"Let me find out...." She again goes into the kitchen, in search of Kerri.

"Good point, apologies. Just curious" Staring at Symon as if he were a knife in what was suppose to be a spork, Vali nods

The clothing was as likely to have been hidden in the boys room, as it was to have been thrown out or tossed in a rag bag as irredeemable...

“Good thing you’re not a cat.”

Then he blinks, swallows, and adds, “Uh. Not trying to sound so ominous.”
