"It's a conspiracy" He sighs then says "Connor's looking in on them "

“Just make sure he’s not causing more work than he’s helping. He’s not usually the pranking sort though, I don’t think.” Either that, or Symon has been sufficiently scary and ergo safe.

"Connor's helping, yeah."

"Makes me feel better she's not alone."

Vali nods "Connor's a good kid. Gerd thinks the world of him"

"If something happened to her, I... man... I..."

"Yeah. He's grown on me. Easier, now that he's Buddy less."

He gives Dagmar an awkward nudge. “No one would allow that.”

“Why keep a seer if not to watch out for things like that?”

"Symon is right, we'd all help when it comes to Tove. SHe's...how do I say this? If she's ever said a mean word to anyone I'm not sure I've heard it. She tries to make things better for everyone, but she admits she doesn't always kknow what IS best for everyone. Kind AND open minded is... it's a good gift."

"mind you, she's got a chip on her shoulder about Thyle" He says "But it's earned I think"

"I remember that part of it sucked." She agrees.

A nod Vali rests "Well, maybe I'll get a vision tonight... then I can lord it over others that I know things they never will and inform them it is too dangerous to say which it probably is but I get my jollies while I can wit ht" A pause "Crap. I am tired. That was my outside voice wasn't it?"

"It was."

"Damn." He says "Ah well, you all suspected anyway"

He points imperiously towards the door to the Bale. Well, it looks ominous, not imperious. Sluagh.

"Yes, warden" He moves to a spot closer there to set up a blanket and crash. Leaving Dagmar and Symon some privacy to talk

Once he’s gone. “Anne Marie would prescribe something Carby and with sugar when he wakes up, like for a hangover. But he’ll if I’m gonna get a rep as nurse maid.” Small smile to Dagmar.

"Oh no, no way. I'm sure Sally Mae or Kerri will be on it."

He nods. “I’m glad that kid is helping keep an eye on Tove. I mean, I’m sure she’ll be fine, but Anne Marie was half packed up to rush over and install herself before we talked her out of it, as that might stress her out More.” A snort.

SIGH.

“Though if she Did get put on Bed Rest, my.., Anne Marie would be there is a flash to help out. Kerri’s great and all but she’s got the whole lodge to watch over, too.”

"Why are parents so hard?"

He shrugs. “To build character?”

"I have character!"

“Speaking of which, we left your Ranger literally hanging off a cliff near Merelor Forest.”

"Oh yeah... when's the next session?"

He hesitates a long moment, then, “I was trying to figure out how to write out Siv’s warlock, since she’s so busy at court these days. It will leave a gap.” Another long pause, and he asks... “Do you think Nadine.... might want to join?”

Adding quickly, “She can think I’m plotting evil deeds and cruel betrayals and she’ll be right...”

"Would you be okay with that?"

"You're my best friend. Just because she's my friend, doesn't mean you hafta be uncomfortable - y'know?"

A small smile. “If she’s... important to you. Then I should get to know her better. If I judge her by her house, that’s no better than judging me by my kith. And she DID give away that nasty sword.”

"She did."

“Did she ever replace it?”

"I can ask her if she's interested."

Headshake. "We were talking about maybe a quest to find a weapon."

"Or earning enough dross to buy a new sword that's not.. y'know.. that."

“Should. Harder to guard someone safely if they’re not armed. And if you have to pick a weakling to shield, I want dibs.”

A laugh!

"Weak in combat, but not weak. Like the magic shit, yeah?"

“Don’t bring up the Chronos, though? Not asking you to lie, of course. But if it doesn’t come up... with anyone really, not just her... then I don’t have to worry about questions like Vali’s.”

“That was pretty cool. It... it actually never worked that well before. Maybe because we’re by the bale... or just the pressure being on the spot...”

"Yeah, no need to bring it up."
