Thane Tiffany marches on to get the pizza

"Cool horns" Jackflap says

Brekke blinks in surprise at the new arrival. "Ah...Nabuni? What are...how are you in the balefire?"

"I don't know, I WAS talking to Dagmar... is Dagmar okay?" A look around

But, of course, Dagmar is in the kitchen

"She was here a moment ago..." She gestures to the kitchen, a bit confused.

There is something different about the Chimera... as if she were higher definition, more detailed. And her glamour... more dense?

"Thanks, Chieftain." Nab says poping into the kitchen

Dagmar is putting away other dishes from the drainer.

"Dagmar. I am very sorry I pushed too hard, and while I still have opinions.. I'm sorry I upset you" Nab says to her "You're a decent chick, and Adam's an okay guy, and' it's all right that things go wrong. We'll chat later?"

She eyes the chimera warily.

"I'm glad you aren't dead."

"Thanks. LONG story, very confusing" Nab admits "Gonna sort it out . Then maybe get back to work "

Gerd has set Connor down, and Jackflap and he are now running about the floor , not so much fear, but pre pizza energy

"...Right."

“Pup-per-oni! Pup-per-oni!” He chants as he whizzes about.

Meanwhile, Brekke verifies the boys' current sleeping arrangements. "Perhaps we can put a cot up there for Jack. I think there will be room."

Gerd's old room is plenty big for both as it was a room she shared with Vali for a time

Then notices that the Chief is gone, he troops up the stairs, and watches her surveying the room. Blankets spill out of the closet as well as the bed being messily made.

Nabuni waves, and leaves.

Just in time for Gerd to come in to the kitchen "Dags?"

"What?"

Brekke gives Connor a look. "Please tidy that up. I will get the cot."

He hesitates, scuffling a foot.

(KItchen) "Thanks for helping me hold it together in there earlier." Gerd admits. "I.. you know how it is"

She blinks at him. "Is there a problem?"

She nods, shrugs. "S'cool."

Jackflap says "We can share the bed. I get one half, he gets the other?"

(Kitchen) Gerd nods "Well.. yeah, it's cool but .. like, I owe you"

“The bed is too big for me. It makes me feel empty. Like I’m... lost in a sea of blankets and can’t find the shores.” He ducks his head. “Maybe...” hesitant to ask.

She considers the bed, which looks very small to her. "Ask, Connor."

Shrug. "You don't. I mean.. like.. I get it."

(Kitchen) "Yeah, you do. And it means a lot. Need help in the kitchen?"

“Maybe it could be two beds, stacked up? I saw them on teevee...” Shy, and reluctant, almost. He doesn’t ask for much, true. Hardly anything in fact, outside of food (which he has grown very fond of getting on request)

"I'm almost done."

(Kitchen) "Okay I'll let you know when the pIzza fairy gets here"

"Bunk beds. That would satisfy both of you?"

A glance to Jack!

(Bedroom) Jackflap's eyes go wide "Yes, I mean, I'll take the top or bottom I... or whatever! That would be.. like a real room bed"

"I might head home, dunno."

A smile grows tentatively across his face. And then he cannot resist a hug around Brekkes tree trunk legs.

(Bedroom) Jackflap stares at Connor in awe. Truly, this tamer of giants is fierce

"You oughta stay though, for Connor."

Brekke considers...and then gets hugged. "We cannot do this tonight, but yes, I will work on that tomorrow."

(KItchen) "Yeah. I think so. Jackflap seems... okay. Sofar." Protective

"He's been through shit. Kid's probably messed up."

“I can help?”

(KItchen) "Some of the best folks I know are a little messed up" Gerd says

"I would appreciate your help, Connor, yes. Yours also, Jack."
