"That...." She stops. "Dagmar. You asked what I do. I told you what I try to do. What you are saying is something else. I will help you if you wish to try what I suggest, but I cannot force you to do so."

"You said what would make him better. That's what he wants."

"It must be what you both agree to, to make each other whole."

She rubs her face. "I'm sick of this."

"I'll just do it, okay? That's what everybody wants and I can do it, I'm a good part of the Lodge and I want to be part of the Lodge.."

"And I can do it, I promise, and then everybody can stop pushing me..."

An eyebrow. "You asked me."

"And I said I'll do it!" Frustrated.

"What else do you want?"

"Do what?"

"Be friends. Stop avoiding him."

"That...is not what I said."

"You said fix the harm. Do what I need to to fix it. So that'll fix it. He'll stop being so hurt."

"That is not a fix. It is a lie."

"Dagmar, I do not suggest that you be his friend if you do not wish to be so."

"Well, I don't see any other way to fix it."

"Speak with him, honestly. Listen, honestly. Tell him your pain. Learn what his pain is. Make right what you can. Ask him to make right what he can. For what cannot be made right, accept the burden of it. But you must speak with him."

"Why do I have to... to..."

"Why do I have to let him see that?"

"Because it will not heal, otherwise."

Suddenly, a cheerful yelling from outside the room. "PIZZA! PIZZA!"

"It's my fault, I don't... why do I have to deal with hm at all? Why can't I just be away from him for a while instead of.. of being responsible?"

And Tiffany "Ah, Chief? Chandelier... kid... short arms ... "

"I could shoot him down but..."

"How has that worked so far?" Brekke says to Dagmar, then she leaves without waiting for an answer.

Going out into the main room to rescue the chandelier kid.

And pizza party will keep the Chieftain quite busy...as will cleaning pepperoni out of a satyr's hair and clothes

And there is pizza and festivities of a sort, and Brekke makes plans to construct a bunk bed the next day.

Dagmar takes the back way out, avoiding the party and scooting home.

She finds Twobit waiting for her to escort her home. "aruff..." And..yes, heaven help her, she thinks she's a REAL dog.

"Dumb dog..." But she walks home with the terrier.

They bad ass guardian types on the road home.. uh huh uh huh uh huh

But home is warm and open and full of love (And belly rubs)
