Though mosly she's just glad Connor is okay

“This is Chief. She got her silver hand as a prize for helping folk. She sets people free- not cage ‘em. Most people know of the Shacklebreaker. But she’s also a Falcon, and she does not lie.” It may be convoluted, but he nods to Jack and speaks in a reassuring voice. And keeps hold of his hand.

“She gave me a room here, even when I was just a dog.”

"Careful, Connor. I have lied. But I am not lying about this. Gerd...please bring a clean cloth from the kitchen."

Gerd nods and goes quickly coming back with a fresh one promptly

“You’ve never lied to ME.” He says soberly, and it carries meaning to him.

"Okay. Not like I can really stop anyone.. no .. no room to run here" He turns his bad ear to the Chief

(At least, not that he KNOWS of...)

And his breathing picks up. Anxiety. Tension. Distrust

A quiet jaw-jut.

"I will try not to hurt you," she repeats, then briefly holds the cloth close to the balefire's flames. "And then...we will see about introducing you to the other local satyrs. I believe the Professor would be very pleased to meet you."

"Will.. will I have to move out? Connor and I dont' mind sharing the bed. he even sleeps on it more when I'm here"

The balefire seems..preoccupied, but it refocuses to respond to the Chieftain

A sheepish look.

"Connor," Gerd says "I told you to use the bed. ugh. So stubborn"

Carefully, she takes the cloth and tucks it around his ear, pressing it carefully against the ruptured tissue. "We shall see," she says. "But for now, hold still." A murmur as she gently pinches the ear, not enough to hurt if she can help it.

The boy flinches a bit, but more from initial fear

Then calms

And there's a POP Sound..for a moment, it seems as if blood burst out... but no, it's just pus mostly and even that burns away in mid air as if the bale was aiding in purifying

and when Brekke pulls back... a perfectly healthy ear is there

A surprised yip!

"Is it okay?" Jackflap says

Touching his ear

"I believe it is a match to the other. Can you hear well?"

"Yes... you're scary sounding on both sides" he says surprised

"Nice work" Clem says "I would have put more focus on guiding the break for the superfast heal after but... " Clem catches her self "Sorry. Pay me no nevermind there"

“Can he stay here, Chief?” A pause, and he puts on a determined face. “He can have my breakfasts, all of them. ( true- what a sacrifice!) And we can share lunch and dinner. And I’ll do more chores, and work hard.”

“Or at the Farm am maybe?” Looking to Clem. “I can do chores there... l promise not to hide anymore when Miss Agnes comes a’lookin.”

An eyebrow at the critique. "Thank you, Chieftain."

She looks from Connor to Jack, then back again. "For now, you may stay, Jack. And nobody needs to give up any meals. I will expect you to help Connor with his chores. He will show you how. Does that suit you?"

"That would... be AWESOME!" The satyr boy bounces "Will, will there still be gardens and trees and things? "Hope, bright and burning

Clem smiles "Your friend is welcome to visit the farm, but sounds like you have a room mate"

"There will be gardens and trees. There will not be stealing. We will discuss the rest at another time."

"Yes Chieftain" he says "You're not nearly as scary mean as you look!" Jackflap states

"I...thank you."

Gerd smirks at something, but swallows it

Then Gerd moves to Connor and picks him up high "And You! you wonderful little scamp... I am so going to fuss at you if you ever get me to worrying like that again," Then she hugs him

Jackflap's eyes widen again as his friend is sent up, UP UP into the troll sky "Is the lady in black going to eat you, Connor? She can have those breakfasts instead, honest"

“Whoop! “ he laughs

“Can we have breakfast NOW?”

Thane Tiffany looks at the Chieftain "Any orders for me, Chief? Patrol here, patrol there? Go fetch Pizza?"

Eyes widen “pizza?!”

Kerri is a good cook and feeds everyone well, but junk food is more often consumed outside of the lodge...

Dag slips away to the kitchen to wash her glass.

"I believe...pizza festivities are in order, if you would, Thane Tiffany."

She salutes

and then, the balefire , well, the only word that fits is 'shoos' something... as a wad of glamour lands rather uncermonisously and takes the form of Nabuni
