"You know, 'cooking by knight' is a nice title"

"I'm gonna be glad when Kerri's back."

"My pun is that bad huh?" Mock hurt

"It is!"

"Well..poop." A smile "Fine. I hope she gets back too so I can bully you in MY Kitchen"

"That too."

"You think we're gonna see Dad for dinner anytime?"

"He better. I know he wants to work hard, but .." A confession "I'm selfish. I want him at dinner"

"Me too."

An understanding nod "He worries so much about providing. But you know, I can live with a little less of things if it means I get more of him"

"Yeah..."

"Yeah. Now , you? Don't think I notice you never ask for much...and I think it's... I think you do it because you worry almost as your dad does at times. But we've got this."

"I know we don't have enough money."

"We're doing better than he thinks. Thanks to you.. a LOT"

"Yeah..."

"And I'm not doing bad," She says "Apparently for all the fans I'm losing because I'm getting all swole, I'm getting a lot of 'ooo preggers' types."

"Gross."

"Well, some of them are kind of creepy, but others are just older women gushing." A shrug "Weird either way. It's just life" but a smile

"...yeah. I guess." A wary look at the bump.

Tove puts an arm around Dagmar, and gives a hug "You're life too. A precious part of mine"

Blush.

"Now, what else do you want to learn how to make ?"

"Dessert?"

"Sure, something involving.. chocolate?" A guess

"Ooo.."

"Somehow I guessed chocolate would factor" Knowing

"Well, chocolate is tasty."

"It so is" And she teachers her adopted daughter how to make something called a chocolate Eclair. Okay, not THAT Exotic, but oh my.

Oh, it is GOOD Tove it there... pate a choux makes her head spin.

They'll manage, together

Later, the Lodge descends into satiated quiet (and the occasional burp) as the herd polishes off the last of the shepherd's pie.

It's got some spices in it, but not too hot.

In her room, Kerri might find the spices a blessing as she can taste them.

Tove's expert guidance shows, even if technically Dagmar cooked.

Kerri doesn't eat much, not having much appetite still, but she sends Olgar out with words of approval and thanks, and with orders to get a decent meal and go outside for some fresh air for a bit.

Olgar does actually say "Thanks, for the food, and the hard work. Kerri's grateful"

And then "Go on, take a break, get some fresh air, that's her orders too."

Gerd nods "Right after I wash the dishes.,"

"...Are you sure those aren't your orders?"

((Announcer voice: Dagmar is correct.))

"Plausable deniability this way"

"Dad, seriously...I can take care of Mom for a little, if she needs. And I can guard the door to make sure she doesn't escape." Sylvi says it seriously enough, but with a bit of suspicion in her glance.

"Mmm-hmm." She tries an eyebrow.

Sylvi takes a wet dish from Gerd, dries it, and passes it to Dagmar. They've got a system.

"Mmmph, and if I say 'no need'?"

Gerd keeps working.

"I'd say, do you want to lie to a Gwydion?" Drying.

Sylvi doesn't quite manage to stifle a giggle.
