Sylvi smiles. "Cool." Then she looks around the kitchen. "We're all done."

"Finally! Can't believe your mom runs this EVERY day."

"Right? I mean, she has Sally Mae and Brogan helping, but she'd still do it all, even if they weren't here."

"She's pretty awesome like that."

A sigh. "I still have to finish some homework."

"Alright... see you in school?"

"Yup. You good to get home?"

"Well, her ears still work." Sylvi rolls her eyes.

Then Gerd pops in "Colton is blowing up your phone I think"

Sylvi blinks, then pats her pockets. "Oh, crap, I forgot I didn't have it on me!" She rushes out of the kitchen, and soon her footsteps are pounding up the stairs.

Gerd says "Do your homework, Dags. I got the last clean up"

"I think we got it all, Gerd."

"Oh. Mmm Well what am I going to do now?"

The sound of a door opening and Olgar saying "Geeerrd"

Gerd's eyes widen "Crap."

"Oop. Have fun."

And..goes no where "Ah..."

"Nice try. I was counter weaving old school before you were born. " Olgar says "Now, let's talk. You, me, and your Uncle."

Gerd winces "Uncle VALI?" Distressed

"The fact that worries you means he's the right pick. " Olgar motions

Gerd follows dejected

Busted. So busted.

And yet, it is a sign that the closest thing she has to a father figure IS Uncle Vali
