"What in the dreaming is that?" She goes to look it over.

The Cauldron is immense, even by troll standards, and glistens with magic. There are symbols of a sort that age has worn down so casual observation won't do. One could make gallons and gallons of soup!

"Yeah, that's mine," Dirk shrugs, "Got it as my part of the haul. I figure I can like... get enough. I don't know what it does, but food bowls are food bowls right?"

Kerri does have primal arts, though, and the first of those is... "Would you mind if I ask it, Dirk?"

"Heck, help yourself... uhm.. if I can have some of that pumpkin pie I see siv had?"

"Oh, by all means! Brogan is doing deliveries, but let me get you all started with food, and then I'll take a look at that." And the Hearth is on the job, and soon there are platters of sandwiches, meat, pastry, and pie.

The guys wash up a little, at least up their forearms before eating

And this buys the Hearth time

And she sits down and may ask her first question

It all times out well. Then she returns to the cauldron and raps three times on its edge with her very best wooden spoon. "Hello?" Three more raps, "Hello?" Another three, and a final "Hello?" and she lets the glamour flow.

And it sparkles and gleams. As if the very spell has cleaned it

"What do you do, cauldron, and what do the carvings on you say?" Okay, it's two questions, she'll admit that.

"What you can make in a bowl small for the hand, will in me bubble to the brim. As good and tasty as you can make, with little effort within.... but still this is , not all that I do, the food has a knows where it was made, so anyone who eats of it, you can watch with your eyes as they walk whatever way"

"As to your second question, the cauldron designs, speaks of witches three with one working eye, inspired by the story was the crafter who wrought me, but fear not your eyes remain. "

"A third question, then...how does one make your magic work and stop?"

"Cauldron Cauldron, heed my whim- take what is little and make it touch brim, make a morsel to a feast. There and there, here my plea'" a command phrase...clearly it cannot command itself.

Then "cauldron, Cauldron, open thine eye, upon a feaster I would spy. Let me see them in thy bowl, their belly full, I choose to watch this soul... ' and then you name the person" It says helpfully

It makes LOTS of soup stew or whatever... AND lets you tattle tale on anyone who ate that soup/stew untiil said food is digested?

That's ..handy

Kerri stares at the cauldron...and then at Dirk. "This is...remarkably powerful, Dirk."

"Can I blow people up with it?" Hopeful

"No...but I think you'll save AnneMarie a great deal of cooking. You said you wanted pumpkin pie...would you like a lot of it?"

"YEAH.. who wouldn't!"

He lowers his voice 'Uh.. can this thing help the lodge?"

"Well...let's try this." Kerri takes a slice of pie and puts it in the cauldron. As she's leaning over it, she hears his question, and she stares at him again. "Of course it could. It could help the entire barony," she responds quietly. "But it's yours."

"Oh yeah, major lording it over folks... " He says "It's just...you know, if I need to keep it somewhere..." He squirms

"And it might be too big to explain to Dr. Lee"

"So... you know... long as I can eat wahtever comes out of it.." Mumble

Kerri pauses a moment, then says, "Let's see if it works as it says, first. Try it." She nods for him to repeat the chant.

And he does... putting a bit of glamour in it

There is a glow... and a Pumpkin Pie that is so big it actually comes out of the top of it is there

"HOLY SHIT..."

And because there is space below, depth, there are more pies below it, each huge

Kerri says, "Hmmm...better do a quality control test, Dirk. Are they as good as the original?"

And he takes the one and tears into it, "Tastes like it to me!" Munch tear shread

She steps back and lets him go to it. There are, after all, priorities. She also keeps her hands and arms safely clear of the area.

SMART... when he finishes the first..er second one.. he gestures to the third, "You wanna see for yourself?"

"Yes, thank you." She reaches in to pull one of the lower pies out and sets it on the table, letting him resume his feasting. She cuts a reasonable slice and takes a bite....

It's as good as her own.. she's swear it IS her own.

A blink...a stare...another bite...

It clearly can't iMPROVE it, but what is made in, comes out.. in much more mass

Yup. That is HER Pie.

Even uses that secret herb that she swears doesn't exist

Indeed, one could have a metaphilosphical crisis about this

"Well, that's certainly impressive."

"It's great.. thanks!" He says wiping the orange leavings off his lips

"Dirk, if you'd let me house it here, I'd appreciate it. And of course you could eat as much as you wish from it."

"And... you know, it makes me a badass to like bring an awesome treasure to the barony?"
