"I bet you'd like wayfare." She nods.

"Mmm..." Kerri nods. "So, the fighting is definitely in line with what you like. Any physical fantasies beyond that? "

Jonas comes down, hair only slightly damp, wearing a shirt that was clearly loaned to him by Vali. It has the 'evolution chain' logo, but the human at the end has turned around and said 'STOP FOLLOWING ME' to the Caveman and ape.

"Ah...that came out wrong...I mean, childhood ones."

Kerri looks up at Jonas, bemused by the shirt. "We need to make sure you have some more clothing variety. That doesn't quite reflect your personality."

He has flushed deeper. "Uh. You know. Stuff like That? I play basketball now."

"No, it doesn't" He admits. "Vali's other option was a Shirt that says "When I was young we had NINE Planets. ' I took this one"

"Certainly reflects Vali's personality, at least."

Then she looks back to Adam. "I agree with Dagmar that Wayfare might be good...but also possibly Legerdemain. Think of moving things with your mind. Certainly handy to get additional use out of things like swords and basketballs."

Adam nods, looking a little lost. "Yes ma'am."

She shakes her head. "I think I would need to be better at magic to even begin teaching you..."

"An Education in any cantripping can be a time consuming process but well worth it" Jonas opinions, "My own study of metamorphosis has been very educational and beneficial"

"Think of it like...well...being able to move that mug on the table over to Dagmar without having to touch it."

Kerri nods at Jonas. "Adam, you might have a natural ability at one art more than another, but it takes time to learn them even for us. A lot of practice and repetition. It can get frustrating."

"I... I understand, Mrs Davidson. Just, it takes even longer if you never -start-."

She nods. "Very true. I can show you the first steps of Primal arts, if you like, and see if they 'take.'"

A little wary. "I'd like that."

"Actually...hmm...Dagmar would be a good person to have a buddy-system for primal. You might try to whisper something, and double-check with her that she hears the same answer when she whispers it."

"...Could you help me with the other parts, too? I want to be able to heal folks..."

"I absolutely can. I'll pull you up the primal ladder, and you can help Adam along if that's the art he chooses to focus on." Kerri smiles. "Okay then...."

Siv comes down the steps, pauses as she is behind Jonas.

"Adam, you know that our arts use Glamour. The Glamour gets shaped into a desired outcome by the caster of the cantrip. With me so far?"

"You have to want it." He nods.

Kerri, sitting across from Jonas, gives Siv a bit of a glance, but then looks back to Adam.

"The wanting is part of it, yes. Clear intent. But there's more than that. We have to do what's called a bunk. Think of it like the artist's brush or the sculptor's tool...it helps us shape the Glamour the way the Dreaming needs it to be shaped to have the desired outcome."

"Like... oh..." Dag stands and plants her feet apart. "BY THE POWER OF MJOLNIR!" CLAP!

"Basically, if I perform an act to help focus the Glamour, that's a bunk. The best bunks are related to what you want to do."

And... Thunder! Hair-raising and gut-shaking!

She even startles Kerri with that one!

A moment to clear her throat. "Like that."

Grin!

"Not useful, but great for dramatic effect!"

"She might just as well have sung Skip-To-My-Lou, but the Dreaming might have had more trouble recognizing what she wanted to have happen at that moment."

A bemused look. "I can think of a few situations where that might be very handy. Trying to distract an opponent, for instance."

"Most impressive by my estimation" Jonas says to Dagmar as an aside.

"moderately impressive" Siv says, then coughs "I mean, the cantrip was well done"

"Well, maybe."

"Jesus, Sam!!!"

Kerri tries to hide a grin at something.

"Not Jesus, Thor!"

Jonas looks back at Siv, "Dagmar's very emphatic by nature I've observed"

"The trick is...the Dreaming is a fickle thing, and gets bored easily. So every time you want to do a cantrip, you have to sort of feel out what the Dreaming is looking for to make it work. So you can't just repeat the same bunk over and over and over."

"Ok, so... desire, intent, and a bunk that.... that -shows- those things."

"She's a force" Siv nods.

"Yeah. Like making up a spell each time."

"Now, you can put glamour into it, that makes it easier... but then, well, you're draining yourself."

"Some always take it, right? Wyrd ones?"

Kerri nods. "Now...the first cantrip in Primal is called willow whisper. It lets you ask questions of a non-verbal thing, and get answers. Sometimes the answers are clearer than others."

"And sometimes, especially when you're first learning, you might imagine you're hearing an answer, when really you're just imagining one. That's why I suggest teaming up with Dagmar to double-check you."

"Yeah..." Sigh. "I can't do chimera at all."
