"Or, I dunno - thank it, y'know?"

"That's not bad. The DeBukes tend to thank their meals or the Dreaming for providing same" Siv says

"mmm intriguing. I should meet the DeBukes" Jonas says

Adam, caught on the horns of a dilemma, puts the cookie on the table. Then moves it from the wood to a napkin. "There."

"You leave it, one of the childlings WILL eat it."

"I'm feeling the urge meself" Siv admits

"Well, I -want- to put it back in the jar, at least it... it would be with others. But...."

"Yeah, it's weird to hear a thing talk."

Unable to stand the tension anymore, Oak, who is normally WELL behaved, gets up on the bench, gets the cookie from the table, and begins to eat it. He will stop the cookie from alarming others!

"Oak! bad! No!"

Oak hops off the bench to the floor but still chews the cookie. It was the getting up on furniture part that was 'Oakbadno!' right?

Siiiigh.

"Uh."

"Oak, you were trained better than that." Siv fusses

Oak has a stubborn almost trollish look to his canine features. The Cookie was bad. It made folks tense. Now it is gone. He has saved the day.

"I mean....."

"Dogs."

"At least it wasn't me...."

Adam wipes his hands on his pants.

"Have a seat, Adam," Siv says "You want a drink?"

He glances uncertainly at Sam before sitting. "No, thank you."

"You okay? You seemed a little shaken? Happens to a lot of us...first cantrip can be unsettling..great, but unsettling"

"Mine was by accident." She agrees, with a nod.

"No, just.... not sure why all this, now."

"I mean, it's great! Just.... sudden."

"All this what? One cantrip? I'm not sure I understand"

"Well, you've been around magic, and you're enchanted - I bet it'd be hard to do that when not enchanted..."

Adam nods. "Your 100% right, Sam."

"But, hey! Magic!

"Yes, since glamour for you is chiefly of an external loci, being unenchanted would render your incapable" Jonas nods.

"We all figured that out a minute and a half ago, Jonas" Siv says

"Yeah. Magic. " he -grins-

"See? It just takes time. You ready to work? Horses or sticks first?"

"Whew. I feel.... I feel like I already worked out but... yeah, sticks I guess?"

"Well, you DID!"

"Yeah!" Another happy smile.

And off they go - some sparring, a lot of drilling.

Siv and Jonas sit there for a bit.

it takes very little time for her to get irritated with him. He has a gift.

Sparring, horses. Frankly, even Dagmar is tired at the end of it. "I could eat, like, a whole cow..." Heading back for the lodge proper.

Adam wipes the sweat from his face and nods. "Yeah."

"You're getting better." Inside!

"Yeah?" Adam slings the towel over his shoulder. "Good."

She heads for the kitchen, in quest of snacks.

Adam follows.

"So."

"So." She fills two glasses with water and offers one out.

He takes it. "Thanks." Drinks. "Sup?"
