A slight chuckle. "Come back to the Lodge, have some juice to clear the taste." She helps Gerd up and looks to Dagmar. "I am not sure about Speaker. It is possible. I will have to speak with him." She rests her hand on the axe at her hip.

"Thanks" Back on her feet "Bane weapons? Does anyone even know how to find those? I mean, dragonslaying swords are like every sidhe noble warrior's prize exhibit if they have them. We're not getting any from them"

"Well, maybe we could talk to a nocker about fancying up a weapon? Or quest!"

"Hm. Well...we will examine what we already have. And then...we have an emissary who is already well experienced at seeking aid from sidhe." She guides the girls back to the Lodge.

"Hey, that's right. I'm old enough to quest now" Gerd goes into the lodge and takes a seat "I mean, I'm not as gungho as some folks" A glance to Dagmar

"Well, sure... we can do those things..."

"Or, you know, go looking? In the Dreaming?"

"It may be necessary to do so. I think we must all speak together, the Lodge members and the fae of the barony."

She nods, not doing a good job at hiding her excitement.

Gerd looks at Dagmar "Uhm.. Dagmar. You do know somoene could like.. die right?"

"Not if we get these bane-things."

"And if it's a Storm and a Mountain and a Hearth... that'd be Chief, and Frank, and Kerri..." She falters, a note of worry. "Does Kerri fight?"

"Dagmar...there is nothing to say that the bane weapons will prevent anybody from dying."

A slight grin. "I have seen Kerri fight. When inspired, she can hold her own."

"And...I do not presume that it is only members of Rivervale who will fill those roles."

"But that's... we'll find them early... we'll get him before he's ready, then nobody will have to die."

"I mean, except the dragon."

Eyebrow. "Did Vegard say nobody would die? No, Dagmar. Only that we would destroy the foe."

Gerd gets her drink, and then sips

Jaw-jut.

"He didn't say that, but he didn't say anybody would."

"Well, he likely wouldn't..." Gerd says 'Even if he was worried it was so. He can't predict the future like Vali.. he just knew more than was sane to know"

a huff

"No, he did not. But...be prepared."

"No." Stomp. "We're going to find the weapons, and stop the dragon before he can get strong enough."

Brekke gives her a long, steady look. Then she nods. "We will."

Gerd gives Dagmar a look at the stomp, but takes a breath and sips again.

Her jaw stays at that stubborn angle.

"Chieftain, Siv brought items from each lodge. They may allow me to flicker flash myself or others there if need be. Save a ship trip"

Ignoring the jaw line of the mighty dagmar

Brekke turns to look at the Balefire. A nod to Gerd. "That is good thinking. We will have an advantage that way."

"So... so should we tell the other lodges? To find weapons, and maybe fighting Hearths and Mountains?"

"I mean, you're gonna be the best Storm..."

Gerd says "yeah, tha'ts a point. It doesn't have to be our Hearth or mountain does it?"

A nod, brow furrowed. "Perhaps...we must send a group from each Lodge? If we cannot determine which Lodge is the next target...."

"Can somebody do woo-woo on a dragon?"

A look to the girls. "To send all from any one Lodge, though...it weakens the Lodge."

Eyebrow. "Woo-woo?"

"Soothsay stuff?"

"Ah." A pause. "Mountain Emmit may know."

"He's even better than Vergard was" THe girl looks into her cup at her own reflection "That's right, if your'e still nosing around you heard me"

"Oh, from the Farm? We could ask!"

"Ladies...excuse me. I must speak to an old friend...." She takes Speaker from her belt and moves to the door. "I will be on the Kestrel."

"Okay. Uhm hope he answers" Gerd waves

A nod, and she is gone.

Gerd watches her go, "She's got a lot on her mind lately"

"Doesn't she always?"

"Well, a lot it hitting at once" A frown "I mean.. I'm getting better.. sure, but she worries I can tell. But then you got Siv... and Adam, and something about Connor going on.. and then this huge ass dragon out of nightmare legend on top of it"

She nods.

"But... she's the Chief. She's... amazing, right?"
