Siv leaves her parents to talk...so she doesn't know exactly what is said...but she might imagine.

Brekke gets herself a mug of coffee as she waits for the arrival of the visitor and his escort. Kerri has set out a platter of Danish pastries, and she helps herself to one of those as well before taking her seat by the balefire. A sip and a satisfied sigh.

Sam called Adam to the Barn first, figuring they could walk over.

There is also a jug of non-alcoholic cider on the table, along with some horn cups.

He arrives and has made some effort with his appearance, which works! Green polo and tan pants. "You sure she wants to see me? Hi."

"That's what she said. So, hey - I mean, you've been awesome on the oath, right? And training hard..."

Sam... is in Sam mode. The hoodie is still around, at least the weather is cooler.

"Tried...." He agrees. "Ok, so... let's go?"

"Yeah." She leads him through the woods - it's a little over a mile, so not a bad walk.

The dogs are outside and send up a greeting-alarm as they approach, bounding to meet and sniff.

"H... hey...." Adam offers to pet.

"This is Oak, this is Edie, and this is Brown Dog..."

"Yeah, we met but....."

The dogs are wagging, but cautious.

They clearly recognize Adam as not-immediate-threat.

"Ok....."

Within the Lodge, Brekke hears...and waits.

She pets each dog. "They remember you."

Adam scrubs his hands on his pants. "Let's get this done."

"Yeah, okay." Into the breach!

Brekke looks over as they come in the door. "Hello, Dame Dagmar. Adam, welcome, come in." She gestures to the food and drink. "Help yourselves, please."

"Ohhh, danish... Hello, Chief. Hello, Miss Kerri."

Adam enters. "Hello. Thank you. Uh. Chieftain."

"Oh, hello...." greeting Kerri.

Kerri nods to both of them. "Morning, Dagmar, Adam. Let me know if you need anything."

She heads back into the kitchen.

Siv looks down from the banister.

"Please, come and sit." Brekke indicates seats at the table near the balefire.

Adam doesn't seem to notice Siv, and takes a seat as directed.

Dag heads over, hand drifting to her mouth... nervous chew on a hangnail...

Brekke watches them both, takes a sip of her coffee, then sets down the mug and leans forward in her chair. "You are well, Adam?"

"Yes, ma'am. Uh, thank you." A beat. "And I hope you are too?"

Connor is curled up on a rug near where Kerri had been sitting - in boy form, but that doesn't prevent him from curling up with his tail tucked up to his nose. Danish crumbs speckle his cheeks, and he snoozes.

Eyebrow, and a slight quirk to her lips. A nod. "I am. Thank you." She gives him another long look...then turns to Dagmar. "Dame, you have been his guide. Tell me what you have observed so far."

Yes, she's asking Dagmar to make a report with Adam present.

Adam shoots Sam a look, too.

"Well... he works hard. He's curious, and asks questions. He's very, very careful about the Oath..."

"I figure it'll be easier once he meets everyone, list or not - he wants to be sure they're okay before saying anything."

Brekke listens...nods....

"He doesn't like being talked down to, but who does?"

"He was right there when the thing attacked McGillicuddy, he helped fight it."

Interest at that part. "He did? How?"

Speaking to Dagmar, not Adam.

At that, Siv walks downstairs.

A foot twitches... awww, he's chasin' squirrels.

"Well, he came with Symon and them. He had the staff Tove gave him. Waded right in, yeah? And we've been working since then, practicing at the Barn, so he'll be able to defend himself."

Adam carefully says nothing, but then notices Siv and smiles at her.

"Mm." She nods, then looks to Adam. "When you are ready, someday, you and I will spar."
