"No wonder you need me" Gerd says "Now, excuse me, I have a book to read" She manages to slip from from SIv starts to stride off, looks back at them both, A BIT fondly, then humphs again and goes up stairs

Siv watches her go, then shakes her head "For a dog lover, she sure has some cat like tendencies"

"Well, you're a dog that likes cats, kinda."

"Heeey... better damn well be a pretty breed at least"

"I dunno, what's a sailing dog?"

"Well, there are water spaniels, and Labradors are named after the sea... and there's one type of dog .. the Schipperke? I think.. whose name means 'little captain'"

"Oh, that one!"

"Hmmm I'll have to wait on that to decide if I'm offended or not" She does pet one of the dogs while they talk "How about you? You like working with animals.. maybe you're an Australian Cattle dog or a corgi?"

"Corgis are tiny."

"Well, you want to rescue people and you don't mind serving drinks OR guarding... St. Bernard?"

"With less drool..."

"But maybe, yeah."

"Not so sure you don't drool... I mean, the dinner bell rings...." But she smiles to show she's joking and even spreads her hands if need be to drive it home she's joking.

"Hey!"

"Yeah yeah.. come on... want to hit some junk or maybe spar?" She invites

"Sure!"

And out they go... future questors need practice!
