*bzzt* Guess so. Stayed home from work. Told him I didn't feel right. How long am I not going to feel right for?

Sylvi frowns at her silent phone. "No word from Symon yet. Maybe he's back in school-prep jail?"

"Uhg, that sucks. he might be."

*bzzt* Have you? On my way. Have to drive slow.

Sylvi looks at Dagmar texting. "He's coming?"

"Yeah, he's coming. He drives."

"He's a junior. And he plays basketball."

"Yeah? Cool. Have you played him yet?"

She shakes her head. "Not yet. But we're gonna."

"Bet you beat him good."

A sigh, and she puts her phone away. "Still no Symon. Well, maybe he'll show up, anyway."

"Maybe. Or he's off dumpster-diving or whatever else he does..."

"Ugh, hope he doesn't come straight from the dumpster to the store."

They make their way to the plaza. It's not too far, really, and they've got long, strong legs.

"Yeah, the smell can be rough. I don't say much about it, though, y'know? Don't wanna hurt his feelings."

The market area here has a couple of options, Greely's sporting goods, 'Ice Cream Castle', a laundry mat, and yes.... a video game store that has some RP games in the back

"No, of course not."

"This is the place?" She indicates the video store dubiously. "You're sure?"

"It's what he said..." She opens the door, setting the bell a-jangle.

Sylvi shrugs and follows her inside.

Amber eyes briefly check the used-games bin.

She glances around the stock in the front part of the store. Video games aren't really her thing.

The guy behind the counter in the video game area is bored, looking at his smart phone.

Yes, there's a door to a back room with a sign over it that says "Pen and Paper RPG here"

Sylvi nudges Dagmar and nods at the back room door.

"Yeah, that way..." Tromp tromp tromp.

Mmm looks like the Silverfist MMORPG is on sale... for just 20 bucks you can be whisked away to the fantasy game world online with thousands (Hundreds s) of others.... yes that same game world of that author .. oh you're not going buy it are you?

And off they go to the old RPG section.

They go back and see a man, older than the fellow at the main counter, slimmer, with spectacles round that make him look Owllish "Hello. I'm mr. Tully. Let me know if you need anything"

Grunt of acknowledgment and she checks the used shelf.

This room isn't huge, but spread out on two book shelves and several cardboard boxes are quite a lot of games. One is listed for 'D&D' , it's the most popualar but they have all sorts

Sylvi looks at Mr. Tully...then looks at him again, kenning.

No glamour in him. But... his ring. It flickers. It's on his left hand.. a wedding band.

"Can just anybody trade in books?"

Huh. She finally smiles. "Thanks, Mr. Tully. Not many stores carry stuff like this anymore, do they?"

"Oh I don't know, it's making a comeback. At least the D&D is. I can't keep the 5th stuff well stocked. But if you mean some of the older games? Well, I'm afraid that's true. A few things are lost. What's your preferences if I might ask? Fantasy? Sci Fi? Superheroes?"

"Um....fantasy, I guess? But we both like the superhero movies and stuff."

The bell jangles again.

"Oh well, superheroes has some Champions and Mutants and Masterminds.. oh and some Villains and vigilantes but V&V is pretty obscure to most. " He says "But fantasy, you've got your Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder, but we also have some Middle Earth Role playing..." He gestures to each box or shelf in turn "I'm afraid we sold our last Player's Handbook 5th Edition... but got another one in a week coming in"

"Um...okay..." Sylvi nods and looks through the boxes of stuff, checking to see if there are any other sources of glamour in the stock.

Ball cap pulled low on his face, sunglasses, tee-shirt and shorts. He looks around over the top of the glasses, sees the RPG section and no one he recognizes elsewhere, so he heads there.

"Have you played a lot of these, Mr. Tully?"

Careful searching might find ..a bit of dross.

But there is no sign of another copy of Fairy: The Wondering or whatever it was

Her attention is caught by the dross and she fishes it out of the box, looking at it.

"Oh yes. I'm old enough to remember the redbox days and chits" Amused

"Hello again, young man" Mr . Tully says
