The group of them gather everything, and head back to the lodge. The car CAN be salvaged and run again, Frank is sure of that. Yup, that car sure is lucky.

Frank finds nothing else, but his contacts can get the car out of there and towed

Sylvi is home when they return, listening to Siv tell the story again and making sure everybody's got whatever they need while her mother is out. "Are you all okay?" she asks quickly as the other group returns to the Lodge.

Frank nods, but a concerned look at Dagmar.

Tove has set up some food for everyone, on the spicey side, and coincidentally one of Dagmar's favorite dishes.

Dag is subdued. The first thing she wants is a shower.

"Siv, can I borrow something, instead of going back to the Barn just yet?"

"Sure... anything you like" Siv says

Sylvi's watching Dagmar with a new air of amazement.

"Thanks. Be right back." And she goes upstairs, more than ready to strip off her sticky, congealing voile.

After Dagmar goes up, Sylvi looks to Siv again. "She really rode a warhorse at full gallop? No saddle or anything? I've only ever seen her walking Blueberry around a couple of times...."

"She reallhy did... saved Sir Vali's life and mine" Siv admits "At least, sure seemed like there was no other way out. I don't get it myself, I thought she knew the basics of horse riding but she was like from a movie"

"Mmphm." Frank is thoughtful.

Brekke eyebrows at Frank.

"Remembrance," Vali says "A strong past life might be poking through. "

"I agree," Brekke says to Vali, and Kerri nods as well, her expression reflective.

Frank nods.

Dag eventually wends her way downstairs, barefoot, and in clean borrowed clothes. Some poor soul will later find her bloodied top wadded up and shoved in a hamper.

Tove comes out of the kitchen "Where is... oh, Dagmar.. much better . Got your favofrite dish"

"Fried chicken?" SO hopeful.

Siv will endure. "I think I'll go shower myself" She rises "And then you, cousin, are getting a hug! Because that was aweeeesome... the way you rode up on Stormwake... and jousted with a CAR."

A shy grin. "Guess it was kinda cool, yeah."

Kerri has also supplemented the food, so there's plenty for all.

Frank frowns slightly.

"Stormwake is amazing, oh, Chief, he's SO smart!"

"Yes, Spicy..." Tove looks at Kerri "Thanks to the Hearth for allowing me to use her kitchen"

"Siv...it is not a sport I intend to encourage."

...says Brekke.

Then she nods to Dagmar. "Yes, he is...but if I hear the story right, you were well-matched as his rider. I am impressed, Dame Dagmar."

Kerri nods to Tove. "Of course, and thank you for doing so." She's finally relaxing a bit.

Siv says "Well, for now, shower.. then I come down here and hug the stuffing out of the rolling thunder that is my cuz"

Frank is giving Brekke a very steady look.

Olgar comes in, "Checked the trods... pretty sure it was a flicker flash like you suspected, babe" He says to Kerri, "because we got the local paths sealed up tighter than a frog's ass when submerged and no sign"

"Um." She frowns, hesitating. "I don't think.. I mean, he's a very smart horse. But it's like.. I.. I'm not that good of a rider, usually..."

"It was an emergency."

"My husband, the poet, ladies and gentlemen," Kerri teases for a moment.

Then a frown. "Has Gerd checked in? Is she upstairs?"

Sylvi hops up. "I'll go check," and she runs upstairs to knock on Gerd's door.

"It could be something you are remembering how to do, Dagmar."

"It happened the first time I rode Blueberry. I was kind of.. I.. I kind of screwed up and freaked out about Lanark, but when I got on Blueberry, it just felt familiar. And I remembered how, but the second time I rode her, I.. didn't?"

Gerd is upstairs on a laptop

Brekke responded to Frank's steady look with an eyebrow and a brief sigh.

"It's happened in a fight once or twice, too - like, OH, I could do this with Flyswatter..."
