He laughs softly "yeah, I should feel bad about that, but I'm actually flattered. sure. Why not. I'd say sorry your boyfriend can't make it, but yeah. I thought about asking you out myself before. Okay. You going to pick me up or should we meet here?" he's in!

"Wow she's good" Lucia says forgetting for a moment her earlier comment

Nadeen nods "Indeed. Well worth learning from"

"I'm glad... you asking somebody, Lucia?"

"Oh crap. I gotta go find Robert before he's taken" Lucia says "Thanks for reminding me, Samantha. Wow. I never folks would move so quickly"

Her smile is genuine and enthusiastic. "Great. I'll pick you up. Here..." She hands him her phone. "Give me your number, and we'll work out details."

Numbers are transfered, "There you go. Later, Pretty girl"

She smiles and leans in to give him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Later!" And she heads back to her friends, giving an exaggerated Whew! expression when he can't see.

"Dance secured!"

"Hey, if I can't go... you can keep an eye on Nadeen, right?"

"That was close."

"That was close" Lucia says then laughs" Jinx"

"You're going, Dagmar."

"Please," Nadeen adds to Sylvi's comment

She laughs at Lucia. "Yeah."

"Yes...please." She amends her comment to Dagmar.

"It's going to get weird, Dagmr, the more of us 'in the know ' there, the better for us all I think, but yor'e call." Lucia says then looks to Sylvi "I think I better track Robert down before Cassidy Butcher beelines for him"

"Look...Dylan and I are going as friends. You and Symon can go as friends. Which should be easier because you're already friends."

"Good hunting," Sylvi smiles to Lucia, much more relaxed now that that's out of the way.

"I'm actually relieved I'll be going with Dylan. Going with another of us...could get complicated."

"Yeah? Less chance of jealousy?"

"I think so. I hope so."

And out Lucia goes.

"Hey, why don't you text Symon?" she says to Dagmar.

The entire school has suddenly flipped upside down. Girls who complain about boys being shy find themselves facing an anxiety different but no less potent than their own usual ones and they aren't as prepared for it. For every girl out there who is looking like she's going to love this, there are four in various stages of minor panic. Even if they're not really into 'A' guy, there's now pressure to go with almost ANY guy.

The boys , for their part? some are relieved they don't have to be the ones who risk rejection, but others are swallowing realizing this is going to become a statement on if anyone even wants them AT ALL.

The talk is filling the hallways, with some attributing this to an adult plot to drive them all mad!

Dagmar frowns. "No..."

Jimmy sighs. His natural state is to be ignored, so as girls walk by talking about how there just aren't that many "Decent" guys and nearly step on him, the Piskey readies himself for what maybe a long and burdensome week.

Sylvi sails through it all, happy to have her dance card secured.

A glance at Dagmar. "Okay...but why not?"

"Because... because it doesn't seem right, on text..."

Nadeen nods "Personal is best"

"Okay, that makes sense. It's different for Colton and me, 'cause of the distance. But yeah, if you'll be seeing him...just...don't wait too long, okay?" A time check. "Okay, I've gotta go. See you later!" And she swoops away down the hall, a confident spring in her step.

As Sylvi heads off, May and Gonzalez are coming in.

"Seeya, Sylvi..."

"Oh god no I can't..whose going to want to go out with me?" May says

"not everyone is scared of tall girls, chica. Besides, worse he can say is no, and if he's rude about it, you let me know and I'll kick him in the crotch"

Gonzalez is, ever loyal.

"Lots of people. Maybe you should ask Jimmy - from math class? He's nice."

"Jimmy? " May blinks "Oh my gosh. I'm so mean. I forgot about him."

"He sort of blends in, sometimes." She shrugs. "And you're both nice people, and maybe a little quiet?"

"I ..guess I could deal with quiet." May says blushing "uhm.. wish me luck?"//"You don't need luck, you'll be great" A nudge from Gonzalez.

Nadeen smiles "Pardon, I need to go myself. Youfolks enjoy" And out she walks

"Bye Tanya..."

"You can do it, May!" A grin.

May says "Thanks guys. I.." A deeep breath "I can do this. I can do this..>" And she moves off to Jimmy.

Gonzalez whispers "If she gets turned down I may kill him, you okay with that?" To Sam

"I'll kill him first. So, sure."
