A knock at the door of Anne Marie and husband and two teen boys...but who knows who will answer.

It is Anne Marie who opens, she's got her reading glasses on and files in her hand "Hello? Oh"

It's the Chieftain, with Frank standing just behind her, and both looking very serious. "Anne Marie...do you have a few minutes for a private discussion?"

"Well, yes. Symon is out doing something ...please, come in..come in, I'm afraid the house is a mess. "

"That is fine, do not be concerned." She enters and lets the boggan lead the way.

Frank enters with his trademark care, so many little things and people around....

They are lead to the kitchen, the table there has files and papers.. social work stuff "My office upstairs is getting sprayed"

A blink. "Sprayed?"

"Dirk brought in some bugs' A sigh

"Please, can I get you something to drink?" She stacks and piles.

"Water, please." Brekke accepts her hospitality, but doesn't really need anything. "Do you feel this is a secure place to speak?" Not doubting, just checking.

She looks about "Well, Symon was out and about and he'd be the one I'd worry about, it's as safe as any place. Should we take this somewhere else? "

Brekke shakes her head. "Not if you are satisfied." She looks to Frank then back to the boggan. "Anne Marie, what do you know about the migrant caravan in Feathered Serpent?"

"As much as anyone else on the news, a bit mpre really..." She sighs "These dark times. I have some families scared they'll be deported after 20 years of living in in the area"

A frown. "Hm. I...of course. I had not thought about that." She looks troubled.

Frank's expression darkens as well.

"Yes, well, I have them good legal counsel, and make sure their paper work is in order. " She says "it's amazing. Normally I deal with the trouble makers, but now folks who play by the rules feel like ..loh I''m sorry this is depressing talk. "

She shakes her head. "Serious and necessary. But given this...I am not sure..." A look to Frank. "Perhaps this is a bad idea."

"No no, now you two came ot me" Water is served, "Let's hear what you have to say please?"

"Our daughter.... our older girl.... she's a leader in Feathered Serpent. In Tijuana."

"She's trying to think of the best way to help; both the city, and the people who've arrived in it."

Brekke takes a drink of the water. "We thought we might know some people who might be able to help us help her to...ease the situation."

"Getting people over the border isn't an issue. It's after that."

"Oh.. Jessica! Yes, I've heard of her of course" She says "Oh my. She doesn't tilt at small windmills, does she?"

"The windmill came to her, I think."

Frank nods in agreement.

"A good way to word it" She ponders

"Are we talking legal or illegal?" The woman says

"Anne Marie...you have enabled relocation before. Is there some advice you could offer us?"

"And I don't mean the people, I mean the means?" A deep breath

A glance at Frank. "It is likely we will need to get many relocated before they can be legally processed."

"I think it depends on definitions. Some things in our Fae society are accepted that would not be in mortal society."

Frank nods.

"We are talking about large numbers, as well."

"Changelings are easier to help, of course," She says "Right of Rescue usually creates an instant support network. Nobles worth their salt will expend great efforts to aid, and so will commoners for that matter. I mean, we've essentially KIDNAPPED childlings and gave them new covers when needed. Rather htan see a fae soul bury due to abuse"

"Exactly." Frank sips. "And by large numbers... dozens? Papers, IDs, housing, translation services, food, work....."

"Initially only Fae, kin, and Dreamers."

A nod. "We would prioritize kith and kin...but the Dreamers may present a problem, as they will need more mortal resources."

"Dreamers Oh you'd think anyone would want to help them, they're..well, I sound mercenary saying it,but our bread and butter"

Frank smiles. "I agree."

"I would like to believe it works that way. But...it has been suggested that they might need to perform indentured servitude to pay their way. I am looking for you to tell me that that is not the case."

She puts some of the sheets to the side and takes out a fresh note pad "Okay, Kithain are easy. Kinian... IF they have a still living Kithain tied to them? trickier but doable. Un attached Kinian? Very hard. Oh and the Dreamers..." Scratching then.. "Oh.. oh!" She gets up "A second a second..."

she apparently meant it, for she's not gone long at all.

She returns "Dreamers are often artists... or at least creative. That might help them in the mortal world"

She watches the boggan think on paper...and nods at the comment. "Yes, I agree."

Anne Marie lays down the paperwork, "See? Special Skills or talents... it's a priority rush and extra consideration"

Frank scratches his bearded chin. "I got the impression that some of these caravan Dreamers are... well, Dreamers but struggling. They don't really have an outlet. Or maybe they have potential but need to get away from the threats at home to really develop."

Brekke looks at the paper, and nods, then follows on Frank's comment. "They may not yet be able to demonstrate their skills."

He nods.

"If there were a way to muse them quickly so they might be expedited...but that can be dangerous."
