While the Chief has gone off to get Dirk and Symon , Siv goes into the kitchen which is, just for the moment, Hearth free. Dagmar is welcome to join her

"Hey, Dagmar. " Siv came in also so she could stop hiding her enthusiasm, "Isn't it great? We could get killed and I'm actually looking forward to it."

"It's a real live quest!"

"It'll be an adventure! Jaymes says I should bring the new armor."

"You should, I will be wearing leathers."

"Well, I won't be sneaking in it... I jingle."

"No worries, that'll give Symon more chance to slip around. Mmm oh we got a stash of ho hos in here. "

"Ooo! I'll get the milk!"

"Sure" She opens the pack for them

Dagmar returns with two glasses. "You think it's a sidhe he's got locked up?"

"Sidhe seem like the type to be damsels, you know? Like princesses."

"Mmmm" She ponders "I don't know. Most damsels don't have the power to bend your will with a bloody dictum."

"True..."

"Is it wrong I almost hope she's not a troll?"

"Why?"

A guilty look, "Nevermind, it's a wrong thought of me"

"What? I am curious."

"Who am I gonna tell?"

"Because I've got you, like this awesome cousin... and Sylvi, whose younger than I but she's got the cool factor in another way... and Gerdd's like everyone's little sister.. but well.. I'm just the girl with the funny accent and who knows how to sail, , you know? If I weren't daughter of the Chieftain and Mountain and a weird miracle baby ... I wouldn't be very interesting at all. I'd be another face in a blue crowd and as that crowd got bigger, I guess.. " A sigh "Jessica DOES thingss, you know? And she's not even here and they'e focused on her. Why? because she matters. A snort. "Dude, you're Siv the Swashbuckler."

"Siv the Daredevil. Siv the boat-stealing heroine."

A blush "I jump around while someone else hits people, and I got grounded for stealing the ship"

"Whatever, it was worth it."

"You think anybody remembers sandbags? Nah, they talk about SIV, swooping in to rescue stranded families from raging waters."

"if not for your and Tove's sand bags those waterrs would have gotten to folks beffore I did" She says "But.. thank you. It did feel good to help"

"Okay, now I'm thinking I owe Sylvi an apology since I've teased her for fishing for compliments" But she gives a friendly fist bump "Okay. I feel better. Well, a little better. And besides, its not about our glory what we do. It's about helping folks....so if this girl is a troll, we get her home, if she doesn't have a home, we take her in. It's what we do. And if she's better at something than me at something? then I cheer her on because that's a boon to all the Dreaming in the long run." A ho ho munched

A pause "Well, don't tell Gerd I said that"

A grin "You totally are." Fist bump

She grins back. Fist bump. Fam.

"Oh god, thanks for getting the milk, this wouldn't be as good without "

That after trying a mix

"Try dunking them. Like, but the one end off so the milk can get in..."

She demonstrates.

"Yeah?" Oddly, Siv has never DONE This. Not like there were a lot of ho hos in the Seas of the Dreaming

Eyes widen in appreciation as this is followed, "Dagmar, you're a genius"

"I won't argue" A sigh "I would love to have some handsome lad feed me these while I was on a hamock with a light breeze and a bright sun.
