"Pizza thursdays?"

"Does it always have to be delivery?"

"You can make it with a tortilla in the microwave - like, sauce and cheese and nuke it..."

"Mm Okay. Now understand sometimes those will get interrupted by other events like if the lodge has us over... or if there's a birthday for someone who wants something different? Otherwise, yeah. I think we can swing Pizza Thursdays"

"Well, yeah. OH, and maybe we could, like... um... build stuff?"

"Like, in the garage."

"Like what?"

He doesn't seem to be denouncing it out of hand

"Um. I don't know. Stuff?"

"Mmm well, Tove is the one good with wood. Could we get her help? Or you want it just us? Okay either way"

"I don't know..."

"Like, I dunno. On TV, you have traditions. Stuff for just Dad..."

"Mm I see your point. We need something like that" He agrees.

"Okay, we'll find something to make i nthe garage. And..." A deep breath, "I could share with you.. no no, don't want to ruin it. You'll probably want me to wait till after your saining"

"Share what?"

"That's aaaaages away. Months and months."

"Okay okay. You know I like to fish right?"

"Yeah! You took me and Symon..."

"Yeah, well, i"ve had time since then. I got me two secret spots I normally fish at alone and most folks don't knwo about it. Would sharing a secret fishing spot for just the two of us be a dad daughter thing?"

"Uhm that's another thing, don't know if your interested, and it WILL Have to wait til lsaining'"

She sighs. "Everything waits."

"What about the mundane adoption? I know, it's expensive..."

"We got that covered. Oh, the the thing that will have to wait..and tell me if you hate the idea, but the DeBUke farm has agreed to let you have riding lessons if you want to learn to ride a horse"

"Really? I thought I was too big for horses..."

"That's the thing, they have heavy chargers, like the one Chief rode on Pennons"

"Man, then I'd be like a knight - like, with armor and a horse? Isn't that funny?"

"Ha. Well, I think they'll teach you how to ride without armor first, but yeah maybe"

"Well, yeah."

"But sure, I mean, The Chief knows how to guide with her knees so she can use the lance"

"Could I use Flyswatter on a horse?"

"I doubt it, pole arms are meant to take down horsemen, not be used by them, but that's okay. You could still have it with you then just break it out when you need to step down"

"So you want horseriding lessons later then? Just making sure"
