"Pretty much told him that, yeah. Oh uhm I did manage to snage you your favorite flavor icee slushie..." He has a small carrying case "Not sure you want it after coco but you guys were so patient"

"Ooo, blue?" She perks up.

"Yup" He says and hands it over. "so..anything interesting happen to you two today?"

Tove takes one when she is handed it, and sips, so she doesn't have to answer first

"Nuh-uh." Slushie!

"That dull huh? Vali was supposed to help train, said he'd work on accuracy for you. Did he help any?" Jaymes doesn't have one for himself but Tove gets up to get him a hot coco

"Had to keep hitting the same spot over and over. Way more fun to just smash it."

"Yeah, still, it'll make you a better warrior to learn it" A drink

"But it suuuuucks."

"so does your replacement showing up late, but we gotta deal with the sucky sometime. Still, sympathy. did you get to cut loose on anything?"

Shrug.

A nod "Next time maybe"

"Thanks" He tells Tove. And sips

"I like letting loose, yeah."

"Our first real game is saturday."

"Good. " he says

"May and Gonzalez as jazzed as you are?" He asks

"When isn't Gonzales jazzed?"

"Fair point" He says, "It's late, you should probably brush your teeth after your slushie. "

"Yeah yeah..."

"Brush in the morning, brush before bed, next thing you know, I'll be taking a toothbrush to school."

"It's a plot" he says deadpan

"But you brought it on yourself. What did you say was where a wolf's strength lays?" Reminder

She laughs, and bares her 'fangs' at him. "Rar."

"ha" he grins "See, want those white and strong."

"Right. I'll do good."

"You usually do" he says with a nod, "Proud of how hard you try"

"Aw."

"Tove, you're not staying tonight?" He looks surprised as she gathers her coat.

"I was going to check on dad" she says

A look of panic.

"You're leaving?"

Tove looks torn now, "Well, uhm..yes? Did you need me to stay?"

"Are you mad at me?"

"oh honey no," She says.

"Why woudl she be mad at you?" Jaymes says baffled

"Mmmph."

"Tell you what, I'll check with my dad and be back in an hour."

She bites on her thumb and nods.

Tove bends down and kisses her on the forehead, "It's all good." And then she kisses Jaymes on the lips, and slips out.

Jaymes does look confused "I feel like I"m missing something"

"Nothing. Are you gonna go to the game? It's at home, so just at the gym."

"I am definitely going to the game"

"Good."

A pause "You want me to wear face paint or something?"

She laughs. "No way! Or have any of those big foam fingers. Or, like, a shirt that says "Sam's Dad"... none of that, right?"

"You have to be there and be normal, right?"

"Well, I'll be there. but if If Tove hears about that shirt, you realize she might try to make me one, right? " A flicker of a smille

"Well, maybe."

"But, like, I can't tell you it's okay. There's rules."
