Siv watches her mom go, then looks to her dad, "Would..would that be okay then?"

Frank touches her hand as the Chieftess leaves.

Another deep breath. "Yes."

"Da. I was wrong to not just tell you and ma where I was going straight up. Instead I weaseled to try to avoid a fight, and..got one anyway. And all it did was make us all miserable, you perhaps most of all. I shouldn't have put you in that situation."

He shrugs. "You're a wilder. Jessica did similar things."

"She did?" Startled "I thought she was the perfect daughter? You always made it sound like she was.."

Frank frowns. "I never did."

"Seemed like. Anything went wrong was your fault with her. So... I guess that made it seem like She herself never did anything wrong?" Tilt of her head

"I told you we argued. She struggled for 'freedom' as a wilder sees it. She fought me. She left."

"Yes, but you made it seem like that was all your fault. None of it hers. Are you saying she messed up too?"

Clearly doesn't see going off as messing up per se

He frowns; it's becoming permanent. "I would say we each contributed our fair share."

"What a relief" She blurts "I thought I was the weak link in the family all around"

Then shee blushes "I'm sorry, just..insecurity talking there"

"The dynamic between Jess and I was.... is... different. I wasn't able to raise her."

"I know, and.. that's where I'm luckier than her. You're a good Da. Idon't always say so."

He shrugs. "I could do better. So, if you want, we can get you that telephone and turn on the tracking thing and... and we won't look and you will tell us where and when you are going. If needed, we will discuss." A pause. "I would still feel better if you took someone with you, just in case, and especially if it is outside an area of Glamour."

"Dad, do you really want me hating someone because they become my keeper/warden? Because if I have to take someone along all the time I will." A frown. "Mom once asked if I had ever really been alone. And you know? Not so much. On the ship, I enjoyed the crew, and I love you guys at the lodge, but sometimes folks just want to be by themselves and not just their room or the like. Can't we try a few times with just me and you knowing where to find me? Isn't that fair enough?"

Frank looks at her, baffled. "It would kill you to take a friend or a dog when you go wandering?"

Then he just shakes his head. "Fine. Yes. Fair enough."

"I did take a dog and you folks didn't think it counted as someone...hurt oak's feelings right proper"

Sigh "Sorry. Idon't mean to be difficult."

"I'm saying, if that's what you're willing to do, I'll take it."

"Thanks. When I went, I looked about. I could see a little why you folks would want me to be cautious there, then boom, Connor shows up and startled me near to death. Da? I think Connor already knows the trod ways and then some. "

"He might at that." Frank does not disagree. "There are things you aren't aware of there, yet. And elsewhere." He looks like he might speak, then doesn't. "Guess you'll find out." Dispirited.

"I'll have a sword by my side" She says "And I had to look, maybe not alone, but I did need to check out. It kept coming up"

Frank shrugs, and nods.

She looks torn on something

Frank clears his throat. "Ok, so... I'll get you a phone." He hesitates. "Do you want to come with me?"

"Yes.but.."

"But?"

"Dagmar really wants to go." She says "And I'm not sure she grasps why she shouldn't. Have you and Jaymes told her about Bedlam?"

She paces "She won't stop talking about it. So..it got in my head, not that I can blame her entire mmind, that's still on me,, but it did give me anther reason to go ,to see how safe it really is for a sained girl"

"She has a phone...." Puzzled.

"You've lost me da" She says just as puzzled

"Do you mean going to see Firnost?"

"Yes."

"Yes, of course I've told her about Bedlam. It's a basic lesson, even if some Fishies don't believe me when I tell them about it at sea."

"Oh I was a childling..." She resists the urge to stomp her foot indignation "Well, fine. But when she runs off to Firnost on her own, don't be blaming me. I'm trying to tell you that she's really wanting to go, ddangers of possible bedlam or silver not shielding the unsained be damned."

"Jaymes is aware, and thinking of ways to work with her on it."

"I hope so, because I've said too much as it is. I like Dagmar. I don't want her to think of me as a bloody snitch" Grumble"Even though she hasn't said yet that she surely is going. but fine." She walks with her dad, "By the way, you didn't warn me about sidhe being annoying. Pretty,sure, dangerous, sure ,but you never warned me they were annoying."

"-People- can be annoying. What happened?"

"He had the nerve to be right. Told me I spoke to any other holder to them like I did to mom the other night I'd be he out on my ass for it at the least.. I was wrong to disrespect her and you. . Both of you treat me different from the others, because I am different- I'm your daughter, and... I whine about it when it doesn't suit me, and expect it when it does. And.. i was an ass." She grumbles "Can you believe the nerve of the man making me realize it? What I wanted was sympathy! That's whhat lads do right? Tell girls what they want to hear ? Well, he botched it"

Frank frowns with puzzlement. "Where was this? And when?"

"Earlier this morning" She says "On the phone. "

"A Sidhe called the Lodge?"

"Who? From where?"

"I called HIM...he was supposed to SIDE with me.. and didn't. The pointy eared Jerk"

"You called -him-?? Who? From -Where-?!?!"

"From the house. Vali gave me a trak phone remember? Long ago? It doesn't have that ap thing we need though." A tilt of her head "And what's it matter who? He didn't side with me like boys are supposed to."
