"Well...I mean, it's just...why not? I'm not going to see you guys for the whole summer...."

A sullen scowl.

"...Yeah..."

"So, like, maybe we could do this thing, I guess."

Sylvi's smile lights up. "Yes! So, cool! Okay, I'm gonna get dressed...." Beaming, she takes her clothes and goes out, closing the door behind her again.

"I should go so you can get dressed" Jaymes says

She shakes her head. "Guess it's decided." At Jaymes' question, a shrug. "Figure I'd just wear this? They can't see the pawprint..."

"Right?"

Dag, if one looks past the voile, is wearing yesterday's outfit - ratty jeans, t-shirt, hoodie.

"your clothes are kind of dirty, they're what you wore yesterday. Quick shower maybe, new clothes? "

She grunts. "I guess. When Sylvi's done, then."

"Thank you. " He gets up to leave

"You.. uh... gonna go?"

"Well, i you're gonna change I'm going to respect your privacy..ohh, you mean to the school?"

She shrugs, all nonchalance. "Yeah. The thing."

"SUre, If.. I won't cramp your style?"

"I... I dunno. Parents go. You don't have to. It'll probably be lame."

"I'll go. I would be proud to.. " He nods nd means it, "I'll go change my own clothes too then. I'll drive yo uthere"

"Okay... SYLVI! YOU DONE IN THERE?"

He moves on to change, a smile on his face at something

"Almost!" And then a few moments later she comes out, dressed in a pretty blouse and skirt. "You know what you're going to wear?"

She shrugs. "My other stuff. Gonna shower first."

"Yup!" And Sylvi heads back to their room.

She pulls the trashbag out from under the bed... selecting, yes, a t-shirt and another pair of jeans."

She bunches the clothing up into a ball and heads for the bathroom.

Sylvi grins, watching her go, and sets to doing her hair and just enough makeup to emphasize, not too much....

Dag returns in a bit, fully dressed. Her hair is up in buns, and dry - and the pawprint is still there.

((does the t-shirt have any decoration on it?))

"Hey, the pawprint is still on your face." A grin.

((Nope))

"Well... figured Sy should see?"

"Or is that dumb?"

"No, I think that's cool. He should see."

"Yeah..." She tugs on the sleeves of her hoodie, hooking her thumbs into well-worn holes.

Sylvi looks at the hoodie. "You know it's going to be hot, right? Like, high 80s? You're going to be sweating in that thing."

"I like it."

She opens her mouth, then stops and instead shrugs. "Okay." Her attention back on the mirror...a little bit of eyeliner....

A voice on the other side of the door "Dagmar, you ready?" Jaymes

She pulls up her hood, eyeing Sylvi's routine. "Yeah."

"Okay. Sylvi, you want to ride with your folks or with us?"

She notes Dagmar's look in the reflection. "Hang on a minute, Jaymes!" she calls out. Then more quietly, she indicates the makeup. "Do you want to...?"

She wrinkles her nose and shakes her head. "No way."

"Kay." She puts her things in their proper places, and gets up to follow Dagmar out the door. "I'm going to ride with my folks, Jaymes, but thanks. See you there!" And she heads down the stairs to see if her folks are even up yet.

Dag tromps down the stairs. "Hey."

"Ok" And yeah, Jaymes is there waiting for Dagmar "Mmm hoodies huh? I need to get you one made o thinner material sometime. Let's go." He himself is dressed nice/casual

"Get through this and it's summer."

"Well I'm gonna want your help on your style" He says and invites her to the truck

When they arrive at Holdrum Middle School, they're directed to a small outdoor amphitheater where the adults sit on a sort of bleacher arrangement while all the graduating 8th graders are lined up by last name on the stage.

Shuffle shuffle scowl.

Eden is there, dressed VERY modestly.
