“I got tested on it.” A huff. “Etiquette entails knowing the houses. Even if it might never come up.”

"No knowledge is wasted they say" A shrug "But I'd rather learn about a lot of other things"

"Seems like a lot of bullshit, getting tied up in a house."

"Like, the Dougal get crippled, and Liam are Oathbreakers..."

“Star purpure in field sable.” A shrug, a finger tracing a star pattern in the mud. “I’m never going to win a fight, but I might avoid one if I know enough.”

A nod to Dagmar. “Good to know what you can of the houses. Like not to get in an argument with an Ailil or call them wrong, even if they are. They are too stubborn to ever admit it and might get Real Mad at you about it.”

A thought. “Then again, you might win that fight, so maybe take it with a grain of salt.” A shrug.

"Figure I'll just not mess with the sidhe."

"I heard they have mind control magic."

“Even better plan.”

A nod, "Sovereign it can be resisted, but it's not easy"

"Yeah, so - avoiding it. Had enough people tell me what to do."

“It’s not fair... it’s a dirty trick. Even if someone else learns it, it only works if you’re higher rank.” A scowl - apparently he thought of thus before.

“And good luck getting a high elf to deign to share their Magic’s with the -commoners-...”

"Well, they don't matter here. Brekke's in charge."

"hah, it slips out kid. I've seen more folks with some 'rare' arts since I came back"

"Chronos , more and more Kithain not sidhe are learning it"

"And the Spring arts, which were never just the sidhe's to begin with, are being rediscovered"

"Sure, Skydraft... I did agree to show you somethings didn't I?"

"There's ways to fly, too! Totally could be a superhero..."

Amusement and pleasure in his eyes as the kids talk

"Though I guess not Thor, since there's already a Thor. I'd need a name. And a super suit."

"Maybe you could be my sidekick."

NOW the amusement slips to his mouth, and the smile threatens to crack

"Like - you know how there's the information guy?" A smile now, building the vision. "With the computers and the headset? So, like, Oracle or Jarvis or Gear?"

"Makes sense"

"So you find out the info, and then... bam, I hammer down the bad guys."

"I assume Symon is the guy in the chair, I don't do computers. So what am I? the clueless guy who you have to hide your secet ID from? "

“As long as you don’t call me Babs.”

"Babs is cool, though." She looks over at Jaymes, biting on her lower lip. "I.. I dunno..."

"Do you get kidnapped a lot?"

“Commissioner Gordon?” A smirk. “Or do you want pictures of spider man?”
