Frank paces along the trail, on patrol. No visible weapon; just his blue eyes scannign his surroundings.

Tromp tromp tromp.

Dagmar is NOT a creature of stealth.

Frank's lips quirk at the now-familiar tread, and he pauses to check a trail-rail.

Tromp tromp... shuffle.

Make sure it's well staked in, no spring mudslides or summer trail-fails here.....

Dag stays put, watching Frank.

That'll do. He stands, brushing off his hands.

Golden eyes fixed, almost lupine in their intensity.

He turns and ....oh, there she is.

"...hey."

"Hello. Welcome back. Things going ok?"

She shrugs. "No bugs?"

"Well, that's surely a good sign. Or, at least, a break. Take what you can get, right?"

"Yeah, pretty much. Don't complain about a good thing."

"You have a good truck trip?"

He nods. "Easy ride, really. Got another one coming up, could be more ... interesting. We'll see."

"School going ok? Kids treating you alright?"

"School's fine, whatever. Algebra sucks."

"...Matt showed me a thing that helped."

"Yeah? What helped? I hated Algebra too."

"This... you draw little arrows... it's hard to explain?"

Frank pats his pockets, shakes his head. "I don't have paper with me. Maybe draw in the... well, maybe back at the Lodge you could show me?" Sincere interest.

She nods. "I can!"

"Cool." He looks around. "Well, want to head that way now?"

"Well... sure, yeah." She adjusts her halberd-strap higher on her shoulder. "Frank, you ever meet a Glome?"

"Glome.... Hm." He walks with her, hands in pockets. "Heard about them, of course, read a bit. I used to think I'd seen signs of one around here, but like the chimerical bear.... " He chuckles.

"But there is! I met him!"

"His name is Klump."

"Really?!?" Surprised and interested. "Klump?"

"That's what he said. I... well, I said I'd ask Brekke if he could visit, maybe. I could come with him?"

"He wasn't sure he'd be allowed or welcome."

"Hm." Frank is deep in thought. "Well, if you said you'd ask, you should ask. And if you ask and he's your guest then yes, you should be here. As for allowed or welcome....that's up to the Chieftess."

"Well, figured she could meet him first."

"I get it, though. Sometimes being alone is nice, but sometimes... it feels more like you don't have a choice, yeah?"

"Yeah." He agrees. They weren't far from the Lodge, and now it's in sight.

"Hey, can you give me notes on the Glome?"

"My House.... we kind of keep track of stuff like that."

"Some? We only talked for a little while."

"I climbed on his rock."

"Was he angry?"

"Surprised, I think. Not angry. He was nice."

"But I think that's why he came out to talk. Did you know they call Dryads Kubera?"

"Are there other fae that aren't, like, regular ones?"

Frank nods. "I know; s'my job. But, I wasn't taught by any of them, I had to pick it up from books and things. You're pretty .... well, don't know if lucky is the right word. It's special to have learned it from them directly."

"Well, I climbed his rock. Maybe he was bored."

"He might be older than the freehold. If dryads can be centuries old, think how old rocks are?"

"Oh, I agree. We're newcomers and invaders."

"Well, he didn't seem angry..."
