Another torch is coming out of the woods, but won't catch up wth him in time.

"Trolls for strength, Satyrs for speed. If there was a contest for lying or being annoying, I'd put my money on a pooka." A shrug. "Stereotypes are what they are for a reason, a lot of the time. Not always though..." Still watching, not convinced it's over yet.

Marsha cheers too, but says in a lower voice to her husband "he's gonna be unbearable for at least an hour"

"Eden seems okay..."

Dun Dun Dun dun, dun...dee deen dee de dun... is Zane humming CHariots of Fire?

And Zane gets to the bonfire

Kerri says, "Go ahead, light it!"

Sylvi's just coming out of the woods and across the yard now.

The bonfire LIGHTS as torch is put to it!

His fingers twitch, a flicker of glamour... but then it fades. A shake of his head, rueful, and he glances at the other onlookers before watching Zane win.

Zane calls out "The Great God Pan is still alive!"

Sylvi comes panting up. "Running....sucks..." she declares as she adds her torch to the fire with a smile.

An agreeable nod to Dagmar. "I suppose so. She did let me use her notes when I missed class. And it even made sense once I realized she'd written half of them upside down."

Frank mutters something to Brekke's ear, off where they stand in the shadows.

the others lob their fire in, "I'm starting to see why folks stand and fight" Colton agrees

Laughing, Sylvi sits down hard on the ground to watch the others come in.

He watches the bonfire leap as the torches go in - eyes squinting a bit at the brightness. A cough as smoke starts to billow up from the first licks of flame.

it's taking a bit for Siv and Kelly to come out

Kerri glances to the Chieftain. "Retrieval team?"

Brekke nods, and Kerri gives a whistle...and Oak and Edelweiss tear into the woods at speeds that rival the satyr's.

Frank frowns and starts after the dogs.

Brekke holds him back.

A moment later, "Darn it guys!" Siv's voice, "Okay oka... Just got..sidelined"

"What?" Grumbled.

Siv comes out with a torch, and susiciously mussed hair but a big smile

Brekke nods at the returning Siv and murmurs, "She's fine."

Then Brekke calls out, "The final contest between the two winners is Jomswikinger!"

Kelly comes out throwing bits of meat to the dogs, actually, he's trying to. In rare form, the dogs ignore this bribery attempt!

((Sorry, I skipped a part...Zane receives a bit of Rivervale dross as well.))

Zane holds up the Bifrost looking dross, "Cool"

"Thank you, thank you, healthy body, healthy mind" the satyr says

She rolls her eyes.

Brekke explains the rules of the game this time, as Lut and Tig bring out what looks like a treasure chest.

"Jomswikinger?" Someone asks

(Pause Scene)

After the rules are explained to the two competitors (Jaymes and Zane), they both put their hands on the chest before being blindfolded. "Your weapons..." Brekke announces...and each of them is handed a very large fresh water fish...salmon? Bass? Trout? Whatever, they're pretty big fish! "And....begin!"

Dagmar is surprised by the so-called weaponry, a giggle escaping. And.. is that a grin?

"OKay, this weapon is problemaatic" Zane says as the Fish is a bit slippery "Uhm.. " One hand on the chest, he asks "May I hit you with this fish?"

"You may try," Jaymes ssays , he is, the bigger target.

Vali comments "I thought about taking up this sport, you know, just for the halibut"

Frank slaps Vali on the back of the head.

"Ow."

"Thank you," Jaymes and Zane say at the same time

While Zane has enthusiasm, and is a bright boy, he is also a talker, and this proves to be to his disadvantage. More than once his voice gives at least a general location away even as he tries to evade. Jaymes is the bigger target, but except for the obligatory question and answer, doesn't speak as much. And, he is more used to fighting blind.

It is an epic battle, fish fly! Scales of competition are swung! Puns resume when Vali thinks it's safe.

The crowd cheers, applauds, oohs and ahhhs!

But surely, one competitor MUST flounder!
