Dougals it seems take treasure protection rather seriously. It almost sounds like how Liams feel about Dreamers

Sylvi listens and nods. "What are you looking for next?"

"Well, we're getting ready to go into the Dreaming, the far dreaming....there's a mine said to be off the cockeyed coast"

Sylvi blinks. "You...you could use a guide, or a Rover...." Sitting attentively now.

"Well, I don't want a rover doing the quest FOR us," Honoria admits "It's my quest, and his chance to earn knighthood"

"Olgar did give me some tips," Colton says "But yes, it wold be handy to have one." He looks over at Honoria "Olgar is her dad. He's... a really bad ass rover. Knows more about the Silver than the three of us put together"

She looks from the sidhe to Colton, takes a breath, and nods. "Of course. And...Colton knows how to travel in the Dreaming."

A proud grin at the praise of her father.

"oh mmm " Honoria bites her lip, "Well, if we ask him for help part way do you think he would do that?"

"He helps people on the Silver a lot. So...you could ask. He might be at Rivervale, or he might be on the Silver."

"Well see " Colton says "But I don't want to pull him way from the lodge too much . "

Sylvi nods. "He won't give you any more help than he thinks you need, I'm pretty sure."

"I'd offer to help...but...I have to stay here...." She's clearly torn about this.

Colton squeezes Sylvi's hand "I wish you could come along but you're needed here. "

A grin and a shrug. "Besides, you've gotta earn your knighthood."

"well, it may not be enough by itself, but my liege says i need to get some under my belt and she wants to give me the chance. Sparrow's good people. " A smile "Maybe I'll join house Liam yet"

"A shame you don't have any crafting skills, then you could join Dougal" Honoria says

"Wow." Sylvi gives a little laugh. "Uncle Frank would love that, but it's a heck of a jump for you."

"well, there have been some saying Fiona is waiting but... first, let's get that treasure repaired. I wish I had... more time" He sighs

"More time? What do you mean? Why don't you have enough time?"

"I mean, to visit here" He looks around

"And.. uhm.." A blush

Sylvi blushes too, and squeezes his hand just a bit.

Honria sighs, "Oh oodnes, do Dougals have to do everything? " She rises "I'm going to ask the Chancellior or Baron , which ever I see first and see if we can get a night here. One night won't kill us"

"Oh! Um...I could do that..." Half rises from her seat, but still holding Colton's hand.

Colton rises with her not even thinking to let her go

The Chancellior, a kindly boggan (whos name I forget) doubles as Steward and she knows his office

"I can show you where the Chancellor is. The Baron is out hunting for that snake's nest. Come with me?" And she leads them to Mr. Kindly Boggan (TM).

the boggan looks up, "mmm oh, hello , Emissary. These must be our guests"

"Yes. Chancellor Liam, this is Squire Honoria ap Dougal and Squire Colton, both recently from EarthRunes. They are questing, and seek haven for the night."

he looks between the three, raises a brow, "Well, I suppose we can arrange a room for these two. We don't have many rooms. You two squires might share two beds in the same room"

To her credit, Sylvi controls her expression and only gulps a little.

the Dougal coughs then "Chancellior, perhaps? If the Emmisary didn't mind? A cot in her room?" A look to Sylvi. WHO would be in the cot is not mentioned

Sylvi shakes her head. "Colton can stay in my room. I will bunk with you, Squire Honoria. That way nobody needs a cot."

"I don't think that's...very gentlemanly of me" Colton frowns "Chanceellior maybye a sleeping bag near the fire? sir"

"It's fine, Colton. Honestly, I don't mind." A grin.

"No, it's just not..."

"oh goodness sake," The CHancellior says "Squire Colton, Squire Honoria... a moment please. the Emmisary does out rank you both here for the nonce." He turns to Sylvi "Sylvi, we can have a spare bed rather than a cot brought into your room. If you wish. And you can continue to sleep in comfort and we'll have an extra bed if we get another surprise guest in the guest area. "

Sylvi looks dubious, but Colton looks stubborn, and Honoria looks mostly slightly annoyed by the blathering. "Well...yes, fine, if that'll suit everybody. Thank you." She bows her head respectfully to the Chancellor.

And arrangements are made. .... fortunately, there is time before bed and... Honoria says the oddest thing "You two go talk..I have to wind my heart"

"You...um...okay. Good night, Squire," She goes with Colton down a hallway and out of earshot before asking, "She has to what?"

"She has a mechanical heart" he explains once they are safetly away "When it winds down, she stops..feeling"

"Oh. That's...odd?" Trying to find the right word. "When she winds it, she can feel again?"

"Yes. It's very uncomforrtable for her... when she feels again she remember not feeling and it... it's like a nightmare's echo? She NOW feels terrible about how shoe didn't feel anything? I think. I try not to pry"

"Huh." Sylvi walks with him quietly for a few moments. "She's very pretty."

"Oh she's gorgeous yeah" he nods

A tension in her shoulders. After a few moments, "Why did she choose you to quest with? I mean, not that you're not a great questing companion, but..." she trails off.

"Probably because I'm a troll. I think Sidhe are used to us as bacck up, support? we're strong. And I'm a good warrior."

"Also, I've quested before a little, traveled... and she wouldn't have to worry about me being so high ranking that i might steal her thunder... I guess she picked me for what I'm not as well as what I am"

"I guess that makes sense." In all the preparation they stopped holding hands at some point, and she tentatively reaches for his again.
