"Yes, lovely girl, of course, Dougal colors. About your age. I didn't catch her name. She carries a mace"

And he takes the hug, "And you're welcome"

Sylvi sits back and isn't smiling anymore. "Oh. Okay." She bites her lip briefly, then checks the mirror again. "Maybe...maybe I should change...? Something...dressier?"

"Why? I mean, you can if you want of course, but you aren't dirty or anything" The rabbit says

Another hesitant look, then... "No, you're right. I'm sure it's fine. Fine. Okay. Right." A nod. "Right." A deep breath... she looks at him. "You want to come with?"

"If you want me too, sure" a pause "Are you okay?"

"I guess...a little nervous. I mean...he's been travelling with a sidhe...." A hesitating glance towards the stairs down to the hall.

"oh...well, Colton is used to sidhe, remember? Also, he's already with a sidhe, yet he came to see you. That does tell you something yes?"

A blink...and she goes back to give him another hug before heading out the door, leaving it open for him if he chooses to follow.

"You sure she's here?" a girl's voice// "if she's not, we wait. I'm not leaving without seeing her"- Colton// "Okay okay... you're dedicated" //"She's worth it"

and she hears that before she sees him

She has to pause on the stairs to get her goofy smile under control...she's sure it's goofy, it's gotta be!...and then she comes down the stairs to meet them, quickly but not running.

Colton sees her and almost rushes towards her before remembering his own cool . His armor has a few new marks in it but is shining, not as bright as his arm. His hair has gotten a bit longish for a boy. Instead of running, he approaches and offers up his flesh and blood hand to guide her down, not taht she needs it, but it is an excuse for him to touch hands again

Her eyes are smiling even as she tries to control her happy response. She takes his hand for the last few steps of the stairs, no longer caring that she's in standard work gear and nothing fancy. "Hi, Colton." Oh, okay, that smile is coming out, it's too powerful.

At her smile, his own slips out in full "Sylvi, you look fantastic. I have so many questions on how you've been, do you like it here? is the baron nice? Have you made friends? Is your mission going well? I barely know where to start."

The sidhe with him is gorgeous, of course, all sidhe are, but she seems to be patient

at least now that someone is actually here

"It's so good to see you. And I have a lot of questions, too. Like...you're questing?" Then a glance to the sidhe. "Um, maybe you should introduce....?"

((the last comment to Colton))

"Yes yes, I'm questing, well, 'we' are question..." he blushes "Sorry I forgot"

"He's a great guy, normally very good on manners," The sidhe says with an amused glance to Colton

"Sylvi of Rivervale, this is Squire Honoria ap Dougal. Honoria, Sylvi."

Sylvi bows her head courteously. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Squire Honoria." Court manners are well in gear. "I think I can find some refreshments for you...and we could all find a place to sit and...um...catch up?" Looking at Colton there.

"It's nice to meet you, Colton agreed to help me on a quest for my baroness so I might earn my knighthood. He might get his too. I couldn't have picked a better partner. He's skilled, brave, and knows somethings. Mind sometimes he takes the epic out of epic quest, but it's a small failing" THe sidhe's eyes dance over Colton as if realizing what a great guy he indeed is.

Colton blushes "Yes, well, and I think a place to talk and maybe a bit of food and drink woud be fine, but you don't have to do that do you? I mean, you're emissary, I thought you'd have a grand room and servants"

"He is a great guy, yes." Only the faintest hint of territoriality in her tone. Then a sigh and a shrug to Colton. "We're a little short-staffed today because of some family crises. So...I've been playing Hearth-kid and helping in the kitchen. Come with me." She leads them to a sitting room with large windows looking out over a beautiful view. "Sit and relax and...um...I'll be right back." An apologetic look before she heads out of the room again.

"Oh, I'm sorry ,do you need help?" He offers

but she's already on her way

Into the kitchen she goes... .she really shouldn't rush anything. Not like anything's going to happen whiel she's in here. Just Colton and that sidhe girl talking

"I've got it!" she calls back.

A frazzled turn around the kitchen and...okay, tea for the sidhe, most likely, and there's coffee on already because Alaska, and...where are the...well...cookies, that'll do. Not her mom's, but good enough....

Why do kettles take so long to boil....?

Seems to take forever, but soon enough she makes her way back to the others, carrying her tray. She hears laughter, she's laughing at his jokes. Well, of course, why.

A deep breath, and she enters the room. Teapot & coffee carafe, milk and sugar, cookies, cups, plates, napkins....and she sets them down on a table near where they're seated. "There."

A grin, albeit a slightly nervous one.

"Thank you very much, Sylvi" Honoria says "Or should i call you Emissary? "

"They do call me Emissary here, at least most of them do. But...you're a friend of Colton's, so please call me Sylvi."

Colton takes his coffee and drinks it "Mmm not bad. Not as strong as the chief takes it but then I always end up touching that up anyway. Oh," As if realizing something "I haven't been to Rivervale much, but from what I hear it's been good."

"Dagmar and I keep in touch, and Siv. Well, and Mom and Dad, but they try to be good about it. I heard there was some Pranksgiving stuff...somebody shrunk all the wilders and grumps to about half-size!" She smiles and sips her own coffee.

"I missed that" he grins "Sounds wild. Almost all the pooka in Earthrunes were gone"//"It's true," Honoria says "Very odd."

A curious frown. "Where'd they all go?"

"No one is sure, " Colton says "But shalimar organized for days befoer hand..and then no prank. "//"Maybe the plan was to make us paranoid?" Honoria said

"That's...subtle? Anticlimactic?"

"It's a mystery" Colton says, "Oh, and there was a rush on squires. It's how Honoria finally got her chance to become a knight"//"Yes" She beams "So many squires swarmed Sir August.. this was before High Summer, most commoners and hopeed to better their station which is fine. I ended up wondering if I could finally get a knight of my own and ...the baroness did one better. A quest to restore her treasure. Who better than a Dougal to fix things? So I was told to not go alone and I asked Colton. And he thought about it, and now he's with me"

A brief pause. "Well. I'm glad Squire Colton is helping you." She clears her throat. "What happened to the Baroness's sword? Why does it need to be restored?" She doesn't look at Colton directly.

"A redcap ravager who did dog fights bit it in half" She says

"The guy was scum" Colton nods

"Oh." She nods and gets quiet for a moment. "Good. That you're fixing the sword, I mean." She sips her coffee.

"As for why, well, it's a part of the dreaming, a treasure, and the baroness loves it.... we can't lose that if we can help it, it's almsot right of rescue...."

and the conversation goes on
