A glance back at Bertrand, though. "I just wanted to chck the place out. I heard it was wild and free and folk came here to have a good time. I just wasn't expecting rules like that."

"I'm okay hun." Patting Adam on the arm. "It's not like spiders are anything to be afraid of." ding!

Bert says "Vouching for kinain is too strict?" He says baffled "most holds they don't even get in unless they're servants cuz nobles are kind of anal"

If she will allow, he scoots Piper behind him, up the stairs.

"No... I guess... I get that." A little guilty sounding. "But blocking Gift of Pan is like... blocking the dreaming. It encourages passion, and creativity, and even lowers banality. A hold that blocks it... just seems crazy to me."

"Well, that does seem kinda..." She frowns.

"Like, I get asking permission first?"

"I suppose that makes sense." She nods.

"I think they let the gift go wild in the garden" he looks out the doors to the rear of the ground floor

Adam dashes a look there, and back.

Her bag over her shoulder clinks as she adjusts it. "I brought oils to try out... I don't want to Exxon anything outside. Oh, Dagmar, by the by, let me know if you have a favorite scent, I'll give you some or make some up. It's a fun new hobby, and it's super relaxing in a bath, too. Or maybe even an oil diffuser."

"A favorite scent? Jeez, I dunno."

"It's good stuff... Uh."

"Like, rose, sandlewood... ummm... cinnamon..." She runs through a few.

Adam checks. "We, uh, heading home?"

A glance up at him. "I thought we could still stay...." Holding up the keys to show him. "After all, we came all this way."

A broad grin. "Yeah. Cool."

"Here..." She clips down the stairs, skirting WIDELY around the balefire and sets her bag on a table. "Take a look through, oh, and maybe one for Tove as well? I bet a good soak would be appreciated." She plucks the sandlewood out before returning over to Adam.

"well, that's mighty generous" A nod of approval at her kindness to Dagmar

"Oh, I bet Tove would like something nice..."

She picks up a bottle, uncapping and sniffing.

She has... oh, pine!

"Whoa, strong!"

"it's not too pine-solly, is it? I just tried making a tea out of the needles from the next yard over. By the way, pine needle tea, you read about settlers drinking it - NOT good."

A laugh.

"They got flammable properties?" Curious

"Well, it IS based in argan oil, and oil is flammable... but it would be a waste, really. If you wanted some for mechanical purposes, probably try a mineral or maybe linseed oil? I'd have to do some research."

"It would be good in hair too, if you have flyaways. Argan oil is good for that! I got it from a salon. Killer sale, they're trying to keep the doors from closing since they can't do cuts." A small frown.

"I think this is nice, though. Smells like the forest by the lake."

Adam sits on the stairs and holds Piper close-ish. "It's good oil."

"How much for the one what smells like sunflowers?"

She leans back against him, fondly looping an arm around one leg from her spot a few stairs down. "I don't know how well the scents will hold." She admits. "I'm no expert, it was just fun to play with." A blink at Bertrand, and she looks thoughtful. "Uh, you can have it, if you like? I hadn't planned on selling them."

"Just watch out for squirrels."

"Well , fair is fair is all I'm saying. Mmm here..." He puts down in the bag, "Trade done. It's juck a knick knack but seems about even. My mom will like the flower smell of this so repay all debts and all"

Adam watches avidly.

"Well, thanks!" A grin. "Maybe I should try being crafty more often. "

"Maybe" he says

the glass gemgaw inside is a prism with a tiny hole at the end , good for a thread and thus for dangling

Tucking it away, he looks at Dagmar, "I'm about to head into the workshop below. You can join me if you want but it might be dull"

"Well, dull for a not nocker" An admission

"Oh, yeah, don't want to keep you from work." She nudges Adam. "Nice seeing you, Dagmar. Please take a couple if you like! I was planning on bringing the rest by the Lodge in any case."

"Well.. thanks! I think this one smells Tove-ish..."

"Oh, cedar! Good choice. I used some of the planks that we keep for grilling... that DOES say Tove to me." So would sandlewood, she thinks, but she keeps that one for Adam. After all, he claimed it!

Bert says "nice meetin'yall" And he heads down into the workshop in the basement

"I should head home, anyways... so.. thanks, yeah?"

"Yeah, see you around! Take care on the trod."

And she's off!
