William... Bill... Emerson... is a GLOW

the crowds, with full bellies, seem more resolved than ever!

Their strike given new hope, and maybe a few of the workers mused to the point of ready to EAT the rich if need be.

Or at least their bosses.

CC was wonderful support and like him, played the part of 'extra' of 'just a sympthizer'

William bustles back towards home with CC, very satisfied indeed.

CC says "That was fun. I"m not as good at being on the sidelines as you are, but I can see why you enjoy coaxing like you do. " A giggle, "Did you see them go after the owner's expensive car?"

A smirk. "I did."

He eyes her. "You have done your own work on the sidelines and in the shadows, most effectively."

"Thank you, nothing like informing fellows how... very masculine they are as they stand up against the power to get a ..rise out of them" A smirk

He chuckles. "I can vouch for that....."

"Oh you're far too cunning for me ever to do that too" A wink

One thing he's noticed, she has not made this recent foray even remotely connected to the grand kids

"Pffft." He dismisses that.

A smile "And beyond musing, your food was a hit period. I think that lady with the bandanna was ready to follow you back here until she got the recipe for the bread spices"

He chuckles again. "We couldn't have that, could we?"

"No.. no, crisis averted" A smile "Just pointing out I'm not the only capable of seduction. You baker casanova you"

"Mmm." Matter of fact. "Tools of the trade, really."

"Indeed" SHe nods

"And now.... we are replete with Glamour and hopes for the future.... how shall we spend it?"

A brow "Now MY mind wanders to the perhaps predictable. Have you a preference? "

He laughs, slipping an arm around her waist. "Mmmm.... Would you care to try your hand at creating dross?"

"oh? Macaroni Art?" She smiles "Dross more often just happens for me. I mean.. I sing, never had a note calcify.... so what did you have in mind?"

"I'm open to suggestions... Mm... since we gained such wealth from providing sustenance for others, perhaps we could bake something with Glamour inside?"

"mmm Fruitcake? Lasts forever" Amused "Oh baking...well, Bread can stay tasty for quite sometime too. Ooo.. pretzels?"

"Twisted." He smirks.

"Yes, it is so us" She agrees and starts grabbing the ingredients

He nods and starts looking at what they have, determine what they could make.

He nods and goes about setting up the boiling water.

"They'll need to rise." He reminds her.

"Yes yes... mmm mustard seed, would that work with pretzels?"

"It could. Mustard and pretzels, after all.

"Let's play" A pleased look. Win or lose, this will be fun

He gives her an almost boyish grin, and revs up the stand mixer for the dough.

Oh, they see to it all... the rising, the flavoring... and, of course, the twisting. Sometimes her hands touch his.

And sometimes, his touch hers. At one point he slips away, drying his hands.... when he returns, soft music is playing from the other room; her favorites.

She sways at that, sometimes even a slight hip bump against him, and moves to other parts of the kitchen.

Accidentally, with any seeming plan or intention, he follows or meets her there, wherever she ends up. Oops. He just needed that kitchen spider. Ooops. The cream of tartar there. Oooops.....

She laughs, it's a dance. They might 'bump' but never really collide. They know this kitchen too well now. And each other.

The oven is nice and hot now, and the water on the boil.

She kisses him between the steps of the baking

And she is kissed right back!

Soon enough, pretzels are being made, not just one, but various types and samplings

William squints, kenning them carefully with a craftman's eye.
