"Mmm.... you recognized him?" Once they are through the trod.

"Of course I recognized him, there's only one boy out of the lot" Then a grin

"You mean Olgar don't you? Rover, hubby of Kerri?"

An amused puff at the 'joke.' "Yes. First Sylvi, now their Rover. Hmph."

"Well, Olgar is her father, and might have just been on a trod patrol besides" She says "But yes. It's clear the ties to the Farmhold and Rivervale are strong"

He sighs. "Caesar, Caesar, Caesar......" He tsks.

"I should have warned him not to dip it in Iowan" A shake of her head

"Well, admittedly, I don't think anyone could have predicted the result! But he -has- complicated things."

"I know, and I'm sorry. It's one thing to tell you leave RV be, I didn't realize they were the DeBukes were going to put them up like free samples at a food mart"

Another chuckle. "Well, I will do all I can to avoid conflict, Dearest."

"I know, I know, should be easier when most of the kids move off farm."

"Speaking of that... I noticed you got handed the nanny hiring duty... and I have a theory about that" She makes a face

"I still know where a few skeletons are buried; I think we will have a comfortable stand-off."

"Mmm?" Interested in her theory.

"I think they're worried If I'm put in charge I'll either not find anyone so take over myself... and thus steal their kids, OR... they know I'll pick for someone I can bully and micromanage"

"Perish the thought." He murmurs.

"oh, it's probably true" She admits "but how dare they be right? " A sigh and she...starts to make him a drink the way he likes it

"You can't believe I would make this sort of decision without you?" Lovingly chiding.

"Weeelll no, I suppoose" sheepish and she hands him his drink "But I am curious what you'll be looking for"

"Mortal, I think. Young, easy on the eyes, a open attitude towards domestic arrangements......"

"ooo.. yes. I suspect April is coming along," SHe bites her lip "You can tell better tahn I, but theyr'e becoming a couple aren't they?"

He chuckles. "They already are."

WHile 'having kids' is a terrible plan to cement a relationship, it has sped a process yes indeed

"Yes, I noticed. she has arm swatting and horn yanking privliges" Approving then "Good. Yes. Mortal young, easy on the eyes. Male or female?"

William actually laughs as he sips the drink. "Dearest, I wasn't in earnest on that. I was metaphorically tugging -your- horn."

"No, competence and education is more important I think. Mortal, though, yes."

"hurumph. Okay. Yes, competence is a must, obviously. "

She get herself a drink , her mind racing with arrangments

"Perhaps a reputable agency. I dislike a single point of failure."

"Given the stakes, " She nods

"Yes." Sip. "What are -you- looking for in a nanny?"

"SOmeone I can bully" she winks "But mmm no. We need an authoritarian, someone who is a true tyrant to the children so as they grow older, they learn to resent undue authority, particularly when it comes with a title like Nanny, or King"

He might realize it's his turn to get his leg pulled just a bit, but she does word it appealingly

He puffs again. "Point taken, Dearest."

She nuzzles him at that, then smiles "Competent is priority, kind would be nice. I wouldn't mind if they encouraged any musical talents or at least stimulted their minds as much as one can from a nanny position." A thought "Someone who blends?"

A slow nod. "Perhaps. Yes, certainly, as they grow our needs may change. Initially, we need someone alert and available but as the children get older they will need a touch more education than diaper changes."

"Honestly" She pets the dog, "I am suddenly glad we have pets.. might alert if strangers come in"

"That lazybones?" Dubious.

"Heyyy... throw rugs are fashionable"

"Hmph." He sips. "I suppose we could consider an actual alarm system?"

"Well, I don't want to get paranoid, but .." a blink "Oh lord I'm so dense. While the club is closed we could just ask one of the Bouncers to guard here..well, PAY maybe"

"mind you, the guard the hold anyway but we are currently paying for them all so?"

He brightens. "An excellent idea! I'll call around first thing tomorrow."

"I should have thought of it earlier..." She says "But thank you. I leave to you and whoever security checks etc as you find best. I will sleep better knowing we have more than this fuzzbundle to guard the babies" Petting the dog

"And I will check into a system. Just in case, doesn't hurt to have back up."

"Just make sure it's not going to require finger prints or anything else you don't want on record"

"Excellent point." He agrees.

"And so help me, if it measure my weight..." Warning sound

"Why on earth would it do that??" Genuinely puzzled.

"Pressure plate or something I don't know. I just worry this quarentine has gotten me getting a bit of a spread" She checks her waist
