"But... if Siv was changed enough into a facsimile of Jonas to actually knock me up... then, like, who's the father? Not physically, but like, genetically? Like, does the change go deep enough to make it like, Jonas's DNA? And what happened when it wore off?"

Curious now, replacing the concern for a moment. "Fuuuuck. We have to talk to Jonas. If it's his, that way? That's like, not fair..."

"I mean, not that I'd EVER force him into something, but like - this is... it's just weird, y'all." A small laugh.

A frown.

"I'm gonna be a father" Siv blinks it ALL Settling in, and finally with the worries about someone roofiing her love or any cheating going on vanished... she has a moment to finally let this weirdness settles in. And, because it involves love... she does the 'fitting story' thing..

"Do the genetics matter? I mean, seriously? Sure, yes, you hope for healthy - but that's not..."

she faints

"Siv!"

Collapsing in a swoon

"Aw, hell." Trying to catch!

"Oh, geez...."

Sylvi and Dagmar might crack horns together trying to catch Siv.

They bump, but least slow the fall

"Let's get her to the pillows by the 'Fire. Piper, you too."

Piper moves over and fusses over the pillows, arranging them just so.

She nods, and hauls Siv up into a fireman's carry.

"Sylvi, I hate to ask, but do you think..."

Undignified but needful

Siv is big, but Dagmar is Strong Like Ox. (Smart like Tractor!)

"Do I think what?"

"Your dad. Do you think he could find Jonas? I don't know why his quest is taking so long - I know, dreaming is wibbly wobbly timey wimey and he may feel like he's only been gone a few days, but... we need him."

"Maybe Siv and I should quest for him..." She ponders.

"Yeah. Yeah, I think this definitely qualifies as emergency. And NO, let my dad try first."

She sets Siv down on the pillows.

"Olgar's pretty good."

"I'm not FRAGILE or some shit."

"I mean. Uh. I don't know."

"I can't even ask my moms. THEY'VE never been pregnant!"

"Fuck. I'm pregnant."

Finally saying the words.

She starts to head out of the freehold proper to text her dad (a bit of etiquette she learned at the Lodge), then pauses. "Can I tell my Dad why Jonas needs to get home?"

She looks shellshocked again.

She bites on her lip. "You wanna talk to Tove?"

A look of relief to Dagmar. "After I talk to Jonas... if we decide.. if it's gonna... if we're gonna..."

To Sylvi... "Your mom already knows... I mean, not everything, but she knows about me. So, I guess it can't hurt... but maybe they can..." She bites her lip. "NOT tell the Chief and Moun- former Mountain?"

"Listen, you have options - okay?"

"Whatever you pick, it'll be okay."

"I don't think I'm ready for that conversation with them. And I think it's up to Siv when the time comes to tell them. Or whatever."

"Yeah, when it's time. If it's ever time."

"Yeah, I agree. And I think Dad and Mom will both agree. I mean, Mom didn't tell me anything was going on with you. You know she can keep a secret. Dad's just as good. Okay...be right back."

She hurries upstairs.

Siv is out cold, but at least she's comfy

Upstairs, she calls her father, not texting. "Please," she murmurs. "Please be Autumn-side, please don't be on the Silver right now, please please please...."

"Grill Master Davidson here" Says the phone

"DAD!"

Siv's head is cushioned on Piper's lap, and she strokes Siv's brow ridges softly.

"What?" He says "it's true"

Then more calmly, "Dad, something very wild and very weird is going on, and I need your help."

"...Piper?"

"Okay. You got it. Need me to be anywhere?" he says

"Actually...we need to find Jonas. There's...well...he's urgently needed back home. And no, I don't mean just for a booty call or something. It's important."
