Tig and Lut look around

"Nice place" Lut admits

"Told you" Tig says

"You realize it's still one of the most dangerous cities in North America?" Lut says

"Bah. We survived Detroit a decade ago, we can survive this..." Tig waves it off

"Who are you and what's your business?" Sir Phobos champion of the hold and herald demands

"We've met" Tig reminds

"Trolls start to look a lot alike to me" Phobos replies unapologetically

"Lut and Tig of Rivervale" Lut cuts in "We're on a quest"

Phobos nods, and then announces "LUT AND TIG OF RIVERVALE ON A QUEST!"

Jessica makes her way there. "Guys?"

"OH geez my freaking ears" Tig mutters,m then sees Jessica "Hey Jessicca. HOw are things?"

"Your excellency" Lut bows a bit, but smiles as he says it (By troll standards)

"Cut it out." she tells Lut absently "Things are good, what are you doing here? A quest?"

Lut chuckles. While normally the better mannered one, he and Jessica go way back so even the guy who leans seelie can take a bit of a poke "A quest. We weren't going to make a big deal about it." he adds

"Forgot Phobos here puts things on Blast," Tig remarks

"Yeah, he does that. Can you talk about it? Want to come in for a bit and charge up?"

"Well, we figured we'd just hit the streets and not be a bother" Lut says sheepishly "We know how busy you must be."

"See now she'll be offended if we don't at least talk about it" Tig reads good naturedly "Sure thing, Jessica. Always happy to delete your coffee reserves. "

"You guys are never a bother. You're family. Um, kind of. You know what I mean." she says awkwardly "You're family -now-. Ok, come in..." she leads the way.

They follow her

Tig smiles at something. Lut gives HIM a look and a smile is all it stays as the two follow Jessica

She takes them to the kitchen; the ladies there are always happy to feed people.

Indeed, Rosita beams at them "Senor Tig? You look good. Who is this handsome young man with you?"

"Oh this is Lut, my less cool fellow thane from Rivervale" Tig explains "This is Senora Roseta, Lut. She and Maria rule the kitchens"

Lut says "An honor to meet you, Senora."

"The guys are visiting... or passing through?" she looks to them for clarification.

"Questing in the area" Lut says honest and up front

"Well, you have our support, whatever you need."

"So if we can save money on a hotel, we wouldn't say no" Tig says "But we weren't GOING to mooch of you until you insisted, Jessica" a chuckle

Lut gives Tig a LOOK

"I get you a fine meal right away..." Rosa insists

"Ah, we just wanted coffee if that's okay?" Lut says

"Nonsense, Coffee is no meal" Rosa tuts though she does start making some mugs for them first "Contessa, take your friends to a proper table I serve all three of you a great meal"

"Si, Rosa." and Jessica does as she's told.

"What just happened?" Tig says as they're lead to the dining area

"I think we got hearthed" Lut answers honestly

"Yep." she is untroubled by this.

The coffee with them is , of course, wonderfully done.

"Okay so we're at least staying for a meal" Tig looks amused "So you said things are good here, Jess?" Coaxing

"Yes." she sips.

"We've made legitimate progress towards peace with our Nunnehi neighbors. That's led to challenges with other Nunnehi but I'm working on that too." she then explains about the war, the prisoners, and the Oath.

"We're just trying to get the Oath right."

"Whew.. do not envy you there, Jessica" Tig admits

"If anyone can do it, it's you, but oaths are frightening things to many" Lut nods

A shrug. "So's war. They don't -have- to take it, they can stay and be well treated if they like."

"I think they'll wear down" Tig nods "And no one is saying it won't happen, Jessica. Lut's just an old married man now."

"What has that got to do with..." Lut snorts, then smiles "My wife's fine by the way" Jessica knows he married a daughter of eve

"Sorry, meant to ask." she says contritely.

"Oh I brought it up because Tig thinks marriage equals 'old' now" Lut says to assure her all is well
