Zara takes the slender bundle from her back.

Magnus says "I think I can perhaps deal with the gunman... or at least make the guns less effective"

"Earl, I will be trying to get to you and back you up, close, as quickly as I can but the redcap is too dangerous. When we've neutralized Tantalus's crew, we'll free the slaves. Agreed?"

"Agreed" Earl says

Magnus nods and notices Zara working.

"Know you this - every harm you deal shall be on your own flesh, and every kindness too. I place your heart and feather upon da'an's scales, and let your own acts serve as your judgement."

Magnus surely has heard of Fate Fire, the final form of soothsay...

He might not be expecting to watch the sluagh take out a treasure-cane...

Then suddenly the redcap yells "We got company!"

one she steps on with her good foot and then YANKS on with all her strength to SNAP it in twain.

And she rides out on her giant barbed spider, but.. not in time

And with that, the contained magic escapes in an explosion of glamour, fueling her work before any may stop it.

"TRUTHBRANCH!!!!" August charges into combat.

Tanatalus curses "My Cane... "

Is no more. Zara holds the two pieces in her hands as she reels from the glamour burst.

Indeed... Zara feels most strange... as if there was a price to pay, or perhaps something in the cane as a defense...

And Earl vanishes... appearing next to Tantalus stabbing

August charges forward, Caspian with him and an oaken shield forming around both

There ought to be a price, yes. Da'an is not to be messed with lightly...

Maybe she ought to sit down, yes.

And the Redcap sics the metal looking barbed spider she rides on him

"HA-HA!!" August jumps, hops, bounds, and uses Hopscotch when close enough to leap up onto the barbed spider, seeking its rider.

August leaps up into the redcap's view, and the Redcap spits "Sidhe Splush"

And a gimmix grabs August, and slams him against the ship, and sliding into the water...

August does not pass out.

Which is good, or he'd be drowning

No choice; he drops his sword and struggles to try and get out of the armor he wears before he is dragged to the bottom.

Caspian strikes and hits the Spider Mount... his blade doing only a little damage, the barbed thing slams down a leg to slash him, and misses

Earl fights with Tantalus...which glamour flows from the satyr

Gunmen fire!

"STRAWBERRY KIWI and PEACH! APPLE GRAPE AND WATERMELON JAM JAM" Dictim bellowed

and three out of four guns do just that

Happily, at least for the moment, Eagle Scouts are required to be proficient swimmers and able to hold their breath. Additionally, Lifeguards must have life saving training, to including their own life.....

The gunman near tantalus fires at Earl.. and Earl cries out as the bullet cuts a groove along his side...

as does Tantalus as the bullet grazes past Earl and also marks him with a similiar wound

"Careful you idiot!" Tantalus gasps

"Kill the girl" He adds "She's done something.. kill her"

Zara scuttles.

August looks for a way up, a way out.. there's got to be a ladder to the dock, or a ramp...

The gunman turns to see Zara trying to scuttle. distance protects her, but orders are orders and he MIGHT hit

She looks for cover!

Not only does August see a rope line he can climb.. he sees a Balor at a high angle, moving cold iron in in hand

And coming up behind Earl

"EARL, BEHIND YOU!" As August (soaking wet) begins climbing.

And he saves Earl's life

As it is, Cold iron still cuts deep.. hitting Earl in the side instead of the heart.

Zara has found cover, and then feels some one's hand cover her mouth.
