Nan blinks at Hume, "Does this happen a lot?"

Hume shrugs "Eiluned and sluagh can be found here...so.. probably?"

"Ooooh" Nan nods as if that does make sense

August sighs.

Coradel helps him up.

And sits.

Nelson rises and dusts himself off "oh, Baroness. I wanted to tell you my knight has begun my training. But then, when I came to the door, I realized that this would be a great chance to train too, also much more polite than knocking while you were all talking. Sir Earl is a good knnight. I like him, but he needs a magic sword to sneak well, so I best practice so I can help him there when Miss Zara and Miss Velvet are busy"

Coradel blinks at him. "Am I to understand that Sir Earl is instructing you by telling you to listen at doorways? Or did you decide on that particular form of practice yourself?"

Nelson snaps to some sort of Scout salute, "A good squire should anticipate the needs of his or her knight, and be ready to shore up their defa.. defi.. " He focuses "I forget the word, what's it called where there's something he doesn't have as much as he might?"

"Deficit."

"Thank you, Baron. Deficit. Well, I'll be going to practice. Thanks a lot , Baroness, for my very own knight" He shines a bit at that happy

"I see." She puts a hand on his shoulder to guide him out the door. "I think perhaps you and I should go speak to your knight about your sense of initiative."

"Please excuse us," she says to the others in the room as she guides the boy away, closing the door after them.

"I find adults don't always take a childling's side in these things.." Nelson can be heard as he's escorted out into the halls "So I try not to trouble them... you wilders are so busy you see and.." And his voice fades as he's marched to 'talk' to Earl

"Well." August says, breaking a small silence "Miss Nan, you do not mind if I take a few friends and perhaps meet this Slygg? I admit, it seems as though he has malice in mind, but perhaps it is a misunderstanding that can be sorted out."

"I guess that the cat's out of the bag now" she sighs. "he's gonnna rant at me online and ruin my rep as a squeeler. I just know it"

"Lord Hume, is there anything we can do about that?"

Hume snorts "if he tries I'll DNS his ass so he can''t stream so much as a cat video. No worries."

"You can do that?" She looks at Lord Hume "By yourself?"

"I am a god to my bots" the Dougal says with a confidence often lacking in other areas "And they will zerg him at my whim"

"That means yes?" August clarifies.

Hume sighs "Yes. it means yes."

"Excellent! There's no time like the present, I suppose. That is, if it suits you, Miss Nan."

"I.. yes?" She says "Can I stay here for the night? I'm not sure I want to be at home if you do this today"

"Of course." kindly "Tonight, and at least two nights following, if you wish."

"Thank you sir, umm Baron, ' She says

Lord Hume says "The Steward here is nice. she'll find you a spot"

"I'll gather Tylar and the Dame. Lord Hume, could I ask you to please show Miss Nan to the Steward?"

"Surely" he ries and offers his arm

He seems a lot more confident, in charge even, when it involves computers. She takes it, and they head off with a bow

And August goes off to gather Temerity

Hume, it turned out, already had Slyggg's address even before they asked. He justt didn't want to alarm them.

August takes the information. "Are you sure you won't go with us, Lord Hume?" politely.

"Oh.. againnst an anggry redcap? No no thanks"

"I hope we can all keep our tempers." August says mildly "But if you are sure...."

"I'm good here" he says

Temerity mmmphs but says no more

"Then, my friends, let us away." And they all head out to the car (August's Prius?) and off to the address.

"To the mighty Prius of justice!"

Temerity takes shotgun

Tylar gets in the back

and soon they are onto the adress

August coasts up, but not directly -at- the building. "Let's take a moment and observe."

And they stare at the house. It actually looks rather vanilla suburbia
