Lord Hume goes looking for Baron August

Lord Hume is rapidly realizing that Baron August is a creature of habits when it comes to his locations; his study, the library, an exercise/combat salon... at least, within the Freehold. Who knows where he gets to outside it?

A thought of tracking the man's cellphone sometime

He checks the baron's study with a knock

"Come in?" it's the Baron.

The Lordling enterrs in "Baron, I got in contact with that girl. Do you have time?"

August looks up and sets his studies aside. "Yes, of course."

"Shall I bring her in here, Baron?"

"Is she here at EarthRunes already?"

"Yes sir... I had to offer her tech support but I got her to trust it"

August stands. "Then let's meet her. Can you tell me something of her as we go?"

"A boggan Wilder girl, goes by N-2 ition, but her real name is Nan Crumley. Lives on Conway street with a cat named Sir Pouncealot. Oh, interestingly enough, the cat was named after a fictional cat from the Dragon Age franchise"

August takes this in, nods. "And how can we be of assistance to her?"

"Someone is threatening her dreamer.. with ravaging, but hasn' actually ravaged"

"I figured you being a Liam you'd .. well.. I knew you'd be sympathetic" He leads the Baron towards a small room used for those waiting, nothing fancy, like a side parlor.

August nods and follows, expression grave.

And there's a bogggan girl with a pandemic mask on, even though in here is isn't as big a thing.

The baron.... doesn't really look like it; no insignia or sign of rank, bare-headed and without a weapon. Ink-stained fingers and a mild expression.... and of course, that feeling that he can't be trusted, despite appearances.

"uhm.." She looks nervous, then looks to Hume

"He's a Liam" Hume explains "Baron August Truthbranch, leader of the Bannerhouse of the same name"

August nods politely. "And you are, ah, N-2ition?"

"Migght as well call me Nan" She admits with a blush

"You.. you told him?" She looks at Hume

"Little bit.. but you should fill him in."

"What..what do you want to know?"

"Any details you can provide would be helpful. Let's sit, and talk? Benny, could we have refreshements please?"

"Yes, Baron" Benny beams and says "Tea for you?"

"Miss Nan, what would you like?"

"Soda's fine? Any cola would do..."

"Got it, and you, Lord Hume?" Beny bounces "I'm being helpful"

Lord hume says "Ah.. Dr. Pepper?"

Benny beams "I'll be right back" And races off to get tea and two sodas

(Let's say August gets a coke too?)

"Cute kinain kid" Nan says "There's a redcap threatening my friend, she's a Dreamer. The redcap's name is.. well, Slygg. I .. I don't know if he's ever ravaged before, and I can't prove anything"

A light knocking at the door. "August?" from outside -- Coradel's voice.

Then the door opens and Benny comes in with FOUR Sodas "I found the Baroness!"

August is immediately distracted. "Pardon me.... Coradel?" he responds.

The baroness laughs as Benny opens the door before her. "He ran into me on the way out, and he's back already. Well done, Benny." Then she crosses the room to August and gives him a brief kiss. "Hello, my love."

"Hello." no boggan-dar needed here........

"Baroness Coradel, this is N2-ition, or as she has asked me to call her, Nan. Nan, this is Baroness Coradel of EarthRunes."

Nan's eyes widen over her mask. The bogggan womann stammers and nearly hits her head on the table she's at as she almost bows BEFORE she stands

Benny beams a the praise.

Hume swallows nervously.

"Yes, Benny mentioned we had a visitor, which is why I stopped by. Hello, N2-ition. Clever name!" A courteous nod back.

As seating is limited in August's study, she helps herself to his bed as a place to sit.

If she notices Hume's tension, she doesn't mention it. But she does help herself to the soda offered by Benny. Not her usual drink, but she seems fine with it.

"Thank you, Baronness I'm so sorry to be trouble" Nan says "I just.. it's this redcap and his threats to ravage my dreamer"

Coradel looks intrigued. "Anybody we know?" she asks, looking to the others.

Benny says "NOPE.. but I'm new!" Enthused kinian boy

August shakes his head.
