Adam grins broadly. "You sure did." he affirms.

"Likely unlawful and carnal knowledge, hm?"

"Well, maybe not unlawful in a Fiona hold" Nab nods though then smiles at Adam

Veronica sighs

"Hey, everything is legal in New Jersey." he points out, then kisses Nab's cheek again.

A sympathetic glance at Veronica.

Zane says "It seems desire is a means to your ends of justice and education, Veronica, but, as a chaneliing you're half human, our human souls help shape the forms of our fae spirits and dreams"

He sounds a bit like his father, that academic angle. Though he might die if someone said that

"We are not what we were - different, but not less."

"I think I understand, " Veronica says, actually shooting Zane a grateful look for the adjustment in conversation, then a nod to Zara as well "I'm a hardier breed than I was, even if I seem muted"

"And - you will learn this, by our hybrid nature, we may even create our own glamour. We are the dreamer and the dream."

Adam shifts and encourages Nab with gentle pressure to sit on his lap, if she likes.

Nabuni does

"Oh yeah, Piper can hit that groove with music and well, inspire herself" Zane nods

"Truly? How lovely" She ponders this

He nuzzles her lightly.

"Oh, I once scared a neo-nazi into soiling himself, and it was like Imbolc..."

Nab blinks "ew"

"Delightful" The Rusalka grins, her pike like teeth shining

"Oh yes. He lost his wife and his job. The poor lamb." Her grey lips twist into a satisfied smile.

Zane says "You know, I'm a soft touch, but screw Neo Nazis" A snort

"Did it work?" his words are slightly muffled till he looks up "I mean, did he stop being a Nazi?"

"He was shunned by his Nazi buddies, and lost his power to cause harm. Not as ideal as changing his hatred, but blunting it and crumbling his own sense of superiority was an acceptable compromise."

"You defanged him" Veronica says

She nods.

"Some did see they were being drawn into radicalization - they were not beyond reform. "

Zane says "Okay that's good news. Bastion met some jerks like that...back before he dream danced. Some folks went to his rescue so to speak."

"And in such lies the hope for the world."

"Good. We can make a difference then" Veronica says as if drawing strength from that

"We can and do, yes."

"The care - the difficulty - is modifying our old dreams and urges for this world."

"Yes" She sighs

Nabuni says "hey, like she said, Saining will help

"

Possibly only Nab notices Adam's sigh, although Zara does have good hearing.

"And simply time getting used to the world."

Nab kisses Adam's cheek to comfort him

He gives her a sad smile, and squeeze.

"If you would forgive me?" Veronica says "I would like to talk to Zara alone for a bit? Regarding matters of... well, something I think only our kiths would understand"

"Let us retreat to the library, then? Bronte has a book she had been desirous of showing you..."

"The Rusalka one? We didn't take it with us....."

Adam releases Nab so she can stand. Or shrink.

"Oh!" the Reuslka says "yes the library will be wonderful." A glance to the others, "Adam, Nabuni, it was nice meeting you. And Zane? we may have met before" And the two ladies head towards the library

Nab does shrink

Adam puts her on his shoulder and stands, bows. "Ladies."

Zane bows, and leaves with Nab and Adam

"Gentlemen." Hand to her chest, before departing with Veronica.

And so Zara and August enjoy tea, the subject? Rusalka... and are more going to be found

August seems particularly shy on this occasion. "Thank you." softly as he takes the cup she offers.
