"And I think I am developing powers of... luring?" The Ruslaka says "A means to seduce men or women in the water? I become what they want. I beckon?"

Zane says "Have used this power? in this life?"

"By accident." She admits "Sometimes it just slips" A frown

"Only in the water? I mean, do you have to be standing in a puddle or something?"

"No no.. I don't.." She says "At least I don't think so"

Zane fascinated "And folks keep asking you all these things over and over. I appreciate you letting me ask. "

"I would not wish the wrath of your masters, Zane Wayburton" She sighs

Adam gives Zane a look and smirk.

"Is there a point where all will cease interrogating our fledge, gentlemen? She is not a specimen."

Zane jumps!

Adam almost misses the whisper, but then looks around in the shadows.

(When your little sister is a sluagh, you learn some things quick.....)

Nab says "oh, hi, Miss Zara" the Chimera says "I think it's you? And it's not all interogation, both boys were also totally checking her out"

When did Zara get there? Who can tell?

Veronica looks amused, but also grateful

"Aye, but surely, they could do the courtesy of offering her a drink first."

Zane says "Ah, want me to go get you a beer?" An offer to Veronica

"Or something else?" Adam adds.

"Thank you, no." She says , tthen to Zara "I forgot how stealthy your kith can be, Cousin. Thank you for looking out for me"

A wry look. "It behooves us for it to be so. You compliment me, Cousin."

"I admit" She continues "I was tired of the prodding and questions but.." A glance at Zane "I know.. knew this one"

Zane says "Which is.. news to me but hey"

"Possible - souls have a way of recrossing. Though, truth, memories will likely be difficult until you are Named."

"Most vexing" Veronica says "It's like having your past turned into a jigsaw puzzle, then scattered, and at least a fourth of them lost"

"If you're only missing a fourth you're darn amazing" Zane tells her.

Nab bumps Adam "See Adam, you're not the only amazing one" A wink

"Aye - a strong sense, but an unusual chrysalis, overall. I'm almost surprised our Adam didn't pop under that once-in-a-lifetime star."

Adam kisses Nab's cheek.

And then sighs.

"Adam's got a checklist or something" Zane says "I'm sure of it. he'll pop"

"Pop?" Veronica inquires

And yes, the boy looks discouraged.

"You are not the only curiosity at Earth Runes. I, however, am merely a humble sluagh of no importance."

He slides his arms around Nab.

Zane looks at Zara like 'seriously?'

Nab hugs back

"You seem well respected" Veronica says "And I thank you for mentoring me...assuming you are willing"

"Of course I am. I have... experience, with the Rusalka."

"But there weren't any." Adam points out reasonably.

Zara just smiles.

"Ok, ok, fine." After a beat. "You know what you're doing."

Zane says "She does, but I totally understand how you're feeling" To Adam

"Ah, I am thrilled to meet your approval."

"I didn't mean it that way." quietly.

"Of course not." Mildly.

Nabuni says "Veronica, you and i should chat some time. I'm a dream like you kind of, I mean, I'm chimerical, but I totally key into what others desire"

Veronica tries not to make a face "I am not a dream of desire, I'm a dream of justice required"

"The Rusalka, as the sluagh, are teachers."

"And nightmares." With fond approval.

"I don't know, I taught Adam a LOT" Nab says
