August has just dealt with quite the challenge. Mrs. Luvetz thought MR. Luvetz was cheating on him, after nearly 20 years of marriage... a midlife crisis. Well, as a member of Banner House Truthbranch, August had to keep their love life from falling apart if he could. And.. learned the truth... the secret. Mr. Luvetz was keeping from his wife

"Remember to put on your masks" The Dance teacher says "And keep them on. "

Miss Pinkly is atractive, but no bimbo. She's not an adulteress.. she's teaching Mr. Luvetz ball room

August didn't -mean- to end up in a ballroom dance lesson. Perish the thought. Oh, he's been taught but he only dances at court occasions and the occasional outing with Coradel or Leonora and that not at all recently.

He tries to stay along the wall and exude an air of "just watching."

Oh he's way ahead of the others here, but downplaying his knowledge and up playing his shyness works

"August, don't be shy. I'm going to want you to give it a go soon" Miss Pinkly says

"It's fun once you get to releax a little, kid" Mr. Luvetz says to him as he and the teacher dance

August nods, shyly saying nothing, and watches.

He's not alone. One scrawny girl hugs the wall

He tries to get a read on her, as well.

While not a changeling soul, there is sometthing very unbanal about her. And she taps fingers in perfect timing. She's got lovely hair.

He..suspectts fae blood. Strong fae blood

He kenns her.

Unenchanted, currently. a drop of glamour would light her up ... her blood is very strong and she doesn't know it.

He looks back to Mr. Luvetz.

Mr. Luvetz is dancing with the instructor

Miss Pinkly says "Oh yes. Okay okay.. I think It's August and Gia's turn" She motions to August and the girl hugging the wall

This.. kind of intrudes on August's plan

August does an excellent impression of a deer in the headlights. If it IS an impression.

"Ahhhh......" he steps away from the wall, glances at Gia.

Gia gulps then says "you don't have to"

"Oh come come" Miss Pinkly says "You both want to dance or you wouldn't be here"

August stands a little straighter, and bows. "I'd be honored if you would give me this dance, Miss Gia." and he extends his hand for her to take.

Miss Gia blushes, but then mimes a courtly lady "Charmed, and thank you"

And she takes his hand

He leads her to the floor and remembers to look at the teacher for guidence.

Given he already knows how to do this, the hardest part might be down playing his skill.. but she coaxes and teaches kindly

He follows her instructions; his own reticence might read as unfamiliarity. His shy apologies and smiles to his partner might ease her own insecurity.

Gia warms up a bit, and seems to enjoy it more and more as she gets into it

That earns an encouraging grin from the handsome young college guy.

"Very nice" Miss Pinkley says encouraging

Oh yes, he can see by those eyes Gia is satyr kinian. Amazing she's so shy normally.

At the end of the music, August bows again. "Thank you." he murmurs.

"Thank you, August" And she curtseys

'Augst you bow VERY Well. Brava" The teacher says "And I think we're done today everyone. Great progress"

"Thank you, Ms. Pinkley." He withdraws a bit, gathering his things, killing time so he can follow the others.

And easy enough. He can talk to any of them he wants now

"I hope, if I practice, I'll be as good as you are Mr. Luvetz."

"Oh heck, I was terrible when I started" he says "But wanted tto do this all my life" A blush "Course, i would have died if anyone found out"

"I guess it would help if you have someone to dance with. You know, to learn to dance -for-."

"Oh yeah" He blushes "the wife.. I hinted ..but she just laughed so.. no need to have her think less of me you know?"

"That's a shame, Mr. Luvetz. Maybe if you said it straight out?"

"Oh no.. no no.. my wife, she was attracted to my masculinity, that I was no nonsense. This. .oh no"

"Ah." August nods.

"You get it" he says "No need to trouble her with this"

"Well, I don't get it actually. I don't think it's emasculating to dance. I mean.... traditionally isn't it seductive?"

"Ha well. I wouldn't know" he says "I'm married"

August takes a deep breath. "Ah. Congratulations."
