"Yeah. She's a great little lady in a lot of ways"

"I hope, in my own marriage, to have someone I can share things with too."

He looks uncomfotable at that. "Well..yeah. "

August gives him a small smile and looks at Gia. "You have a natural gift, I think."

"Oh thanks. " Gia blushes

Together they walk towards the door and the street and, presumably, their cars.

Gia moves on, she's got to wait for the bus

But she looks back at him "You dance better than I do. I think"

"Thank you." he watches her go a moment, and offers his hand to Mr. Luvetz. "Pleasure to meet you sir."

"Same" And off he drives. While she waits for the bus

Before he releases August's hand, as they shake, August uses the shake as a bunk and tells... orders him "Ask your wife to dance, Mr. Luvetz."

"You know what? I''ll ask my wife to the dance" And NOW he drives off headding off to his wife. GOT to ask her

And the girl at the bus stop, Gia gapes at him then shakes her head confused

August looks around and crosses towards her. "Would you like a lift, Gia? I can drive." he invites gently.

"I.. sure" She says "Did you just tell that man to ask his wife and he changed his mind?"

"How could I have done that?" he offers to walk her to his car, and lets her in before he gets in himself. "Where to?"

He offers a soft, non-threatening smile.

"Oh. Uhm " She names the locale a lower middle class area.

"Sure thing." off they go.

"What got you interested in dance? Ballroom dance?"

"it was just so elegant seeming. My grandfather was a dancer, you know? Well, you wouldn't know. He once was back up to Gene Kelly"

"That's an impressive accomplishment." August says "Think you'll pursue it? I have to say, it was.... very easy to dance with you. And I don't dance all that often."

"You should. You're handsome and have natural grace" A blush "Uh. when I said handsome I meant.. well. You know"

"Thank you for the compliment." evenly.

He takes his time driving. "Gia, I'm sorry to ask but do you mind if I pull into that drive through and grab something? I missed my dinner."

"Oh no problem" She says "Dancing can build up an appetite"

"Oh, would you care for something?" as he indicates and pulls into the drive through.

"Oh I don't want to impose"

"No imposition at all. Please, allow me. What would you care for?"

"Do they have something.. like a hot apple pie or..."

August checks out the menu (maybe for longer than someone normally familiar with drive-throughs would need to take) and places the orders, asking her ".... soft serve ice cream?"

(He's ordered fried pies and burgers already.)

"Oh no.. no..nothing cold thank you"

".... and that's it. Thank you." to the speaker, and they pull around to the window. August pays, and passes the food (and that's all) to her before pulling forward to a space so they can divy things up.

"Hope this is ok?"

"This is nice. I have two dollars I can pay my share"

"Would you be kind enough to let it be my treat? I was the one that needed to stop, after all."

"Well, okay. Thanks"

"Thank -you-." He says courtesously, and they chow down.

They do.

He chews, swallows. "Did you know your grandfather? The dancer."

"Not well, he died when i was a kid." A sigh "He.. snuck out with friends... and went to a party. SLipped out of the resting home. He died.. I would like to think he died dancing. Is..i sthat freakish?"

"No." with a shy smile "I don't think so. If it was what he had a passion for, then it sounds like just the way he'd like to pass."

she smiles at that and keeps eating.

(And I am assuming no glamour in it?)

(Nope. He'll talk with Coradel first.)

"I don't mean to pry, but what do you enjoy doing? If it isn't dancing."

"Oh... I like music, play a little on my keyboard. I'm shy but ..music helps?" She ponders "I like old episodes of MASH and Golden Girls"

"I enjoy MASH too. I don't really have a talent for music, though. I've been tested. I envy you that skill."
