And when she is gone, Adam moves along as well.

He stops in the hallway, eyes her.

Then she turns to whoever is in the other room "How was that?"

"Adequate. I would have simply said...'It is not tiime' and left the rest hanging"

Adam shrugs and moves along.

Then she turns "Oh , sorry Adam. I was practicing mysterious entries" Primly

"How are you? " She says "Your yule was pleasant I hope?" Gracious

She turns then blushes hten nods to Adam "Pardon me, Adam, more practice"

And she withdraws after a curtsey, off to practice dramatic pronoucements

He nods in return and -now- he moves with purpose. To his mother's room.

the door is cracked open, and through the slit he can see his mother at a desk

He knocks softly.

She calls out without looking "Come in"

"Hey." he enters.

"Adam!" she lights up

"What's up?"

'Oh, working on some poetry"

She seems in a good mood

"Cool. Listen, I heard a rumor. Don't trust the source but Ithought you should know it's going around. Heard you and dad are getting back together." he shrugs.
