the redcap stamps his red shoes before entering the hold proper without even thinking about it. Corrupted by boggans and Seelie trolls no doubt. But no one mentions it. He enters the halls looking for his prey.

He peeks in one hallway, and sees Adam. And makes a face. Clearly not who he wanted

Adam glances up in time to see the 'cap. He nods. "Dirk." Then, curious "What brings you?"

"Looking for someone..something" he says "What's it to you?" on guard

"I might be able to help."

"Fine. Heard about a new kith.. old kith here... some kind of River hag but not a riverhag"

Adam thinks. "I heard something about that too but haven't seen anything new. Why are you looking?"

"What, you join House Eiluned or something?" he asks

"Never in a million years, hell no."

"Then why all the questions?"

Adam shrugs. "Ok. If you want I can take you to one of the Thanes or Steward Delores. She'd know if someone new was here."

"Nah, it's good. I'll find her. No need to bug the Steward. She's busy probably. "

"Always. Take it easy."

He turns back to his task.

He eyes the kinian, not kinian, "You liking Earth Runes?"

"Love it." He confirms.

"Yeah well, good" He nods

"All good at Rivervale?"

"You know how it is... the girls end up having a quest or adventure, then a quiet week goes by and they bitch abou how they never have adventures. Symon and Dagmar did tthis big quest for a map for Sir Vali which Iguess ended up well. Oh, and Vali finally married Tiffany. I heard they might have mugged a priest... which is too cool a story to be true. "

"Sounds busy. Good on Sir Vali and Thane Tiffany, I'll send a card."

"Mmph. They'd probably appreciate it. They're dorks" He says

"I wouldn't say that."

"I would. " He says with a shrug

that's when the woman comes out of the hallway.. she runs her fingers through her hair

and moves past them.

Adam tracks with his eyes, and offers a bow to this unknown.

"Oh hey, you the new kith girl?" Dirk says in his gracious fashion

Veronica turns at the younger guys, one bowing, one blurting, and stares "Contrast is strong here, I see"

Adam straighten. "Adam Thomas, Lady. Dirk Lee is from Rivervale Lodge."

He indicates the 'cap on that introduction.

"I'm Veronica, and in fact, I am one of three of the new girls.. though my kith is.. one of a kind. I am Rusalka" She says "nice to meet you both" She gives th e same gesture Zara does, hand over heart. She is pretty. A brief smile

"Your teeth are.. wow. You SURE you aint' a hag?" Dirk asks

"I am sure" her eyes narrow

"Huh, this could get tricky. See we already got a river kith.. " He says "There might be turf fights"

"It is my understanding some places already have Otter pookas as well" She counters

"Yeah, the hags eat em " The Redcap says

Adam listens quietly.

She sighs "There are rivers enough for all if we learn to share. That said, I do not intend to anger any kithian by fighting for river position or possession"

Adam nods. "Not worth it." he agrees.

"Thank you, Adam" She nods

"You're welcome." he nods back.

"So how many more of you are there?" Dirk asks

Veronica sighs, then looks at Dirk "I shall tell you the horrid truth."

"yeah?" his brows lift

"We. Are. Legion" Her eyes alight "Our multitudes shall flood Concordia, every river a sisterhood, every creek a duo, every lake, a colony! We shall seize the waters, and pass judgement whever it touches. We will frenzy and strip the blood and meat from the wicked... until were are glutted, then we shall spawn and send out the next generation to do it again. It. Will. Be. Glorious."

"Woah."

Dirk adjusts his pants as discretely as he can "For real?"

"That is for you to worry about" And she moves off, a sensual predatory stride

Dirk watches her go "If I were smarter I'd say something about welcoming our new Rusalka overlords" A grunt of admiration
