Velvet is positively giddy, "Rusalka here? Returned? My study of souls is bursting with new options"

"of course, the Seer has blocked his door" offended "I was learning so much attending to his and Minerva's questioning"

"I have a theory about blood drawing them and that once, somewhere in her family line, there were changelings until the Rusalka died out but I'm not sure." She speculates

"Don't you think it's exciting, my liege?" she asks August

"I do. It's fascinating. I'm writing it up, myself."

"May we compare notes later?" Hopeful

"I was counting on it!" he says with a smile.

She gives a toothless happy sound then says "exciting times we live in, Baron. Did you meet Miss Veronica?"

"I mean..did you have a chance to speak with her?"

"I did." with a shy smile.

"What did you think of her? She seems to have a strong past life compared to many"

"She was.... very nice. Firm opinions. Evocative."

"mmm hopefully not too narrow minded" She nods "But it does give possible clues to what the souls are drawn to"

"She also has strong memories of her mortal life."

"True. Alas, not a pure fae soul it seems. I cannot get too many more answers on the end.. just the begining"

"Truth. I suspect Miss Zara is very pleased. This is, in some ways, HER Discovery. Oh, and Sir Earl, but Sir Earl is not the sort to assert such things"

"He is not." August agrees, then smiles. "Zara has every right to be pleased with her discovery."

"Quite so" A nod "the words shall spread among my kith in proper circles. I am sure there is some frustration we could not keep this all to ourselves, but, well, the village is not just sluagh"

"New of new... well, old.... well, returned kiths should be made known. It would be a great loss if they were harmed or rejected out of ignorance."

"Oh my" Velvet frowns "There will be those that try to take advantage of them"

"Or destroy them."

"Anathema" A hiss

"I agree. But if it is assumed they are chimera......."

"But they'll have BODIES."

"My concern is that in the heat of the moment, the surprise.... those who are not too over concerned about such things might act rashly. However, we will do our best to ensure that does not happen." firmly.

"Quite, my liege" A nod of support

"Tylar wants me to assist with some downrodden mortal families. " A sigh "I fear I do not have the boggan endurance for charity"

"Please let him know from me that I'd be happy to help too, but not hurt if he declines."

"Oh I think he might not never have presumed my lord, but it would let ME off the hook. I shall let him know" Relief

A proud smile. "Excellent."

She puts her hand over her heart, and bobs her head "Pardon me, Lord. I shall tend to that now"

"Of course." he nods, and lets her go.

And off she goes, slipping away. Ah, to be young and full of an eagerness to learn all there is.

Oh wait, HE is young.
