"I can't tell .. I can't sense love.. just lust so I guess I should trust but it's...ooo is this what it's like for real people?"

"Well, I lust for you too." He grins. "Yeah, I guess people get confused when they are in love."

She nods "It's not just me then? Oh thank goodness" She hugs him, then smiles

"Heck no. Love is confusing."

"Do.. do you ever feel confused about me? " She almost sounds hopeful

"Awww..... I guess sometimes? But mostly I feel completely SURE about you, which is kinda weird when you think about it."

"It is" She nods "Very. I'm dream fluff."

"See, I see so much more than that......" he kisses her. "You're talented and clever and so much FUN....."

"I feel like I can rely on you."

She beams

"As crazy as all this has been, you've always been there for me."

"Thanks. " She says and sniffs the flowers, surprised "You know, this is the first time you ever brought me flowers!"

"I should do it more often." firmly "Sorry if I've taken you for granted."

"Do you want to get back to the party? You can ride-along, if you want."

"Oh I think I'd rather be on your arm. And if you want other girls that's fine, just.. don't leave me alone by the punch"

"Never again." He promises.

That gets him a kiss

He takes his time with it, cupping her cheek and lingering.

And they have a nice make out session on the obstacle course

And then back to the party!

Meanwhile, a certain red-headed lounge singer has noted the distraught troll pacing by a doorway. "Is something wrong?" she asks idly as she approaches him.

"I wait" he says

It is clear he has not just been waiting, but sketching

"Oh? I can wait with you a bit, if you don't mind." A sultry murmur as she moves closer to look at what he's sketching...perhaps a bit too close.

The first are images of , though she knows it not, the readings seen by those who worked harder. A Lion looking confused with a cub. A Fiona lord weeping as he touches his own shoulder. A burning sword..and a scene by the river with childlings

"What are these?" she says quietly, lightly touching the page with red-nailed fingertips.

"Omens, portents of possible futures.. tonight is a night for more than exploring our inner shadow, but for seers and seeing. We will forget. Maybe even these sketches will shift slightly but it may help" A look at the scene with the childlings, and he looks, proud, hopeful, and concerned "I wonder if this scared her off?"

"She seemed.. happy and then... she went to get a drink and was gone"

"Scared her off? Oh, I doubt that. But as you say...this is a night of opportunity for learning that which is otherwise hidden. And...for taking chances." She smiles at him.

A look "Baroness?"

A blink. "You think I'm wrong?"

"Finish your drawing. Then...find me for a dance." She smiles and moves away into the crowd.

"No I mean you seem to know something I don't about where she .." He frowns as she goes

but does not pursue.

And he does leave..but not to dance.

perhaps to seek, perhaps not.

Adam makes sure that Nab knows she can shrink and ride on his shoulder, or inside his head, if she is worried about getting separated again. And he looks for something to do.

His path takes him close to the red-headed lounge singer, who at the moment is bending wayyyy over to tickle a certain stripe-tailed Vicar under the chin.

"oh fickle vicar" the pooka moth in Earl of Huntingdon drag says

Adam blue-screens for a bit.

"Well, you can hardly blame him, can you?" the songstress says as she straightens again. "But far be it from me to get between such an epic pairing as you two were written to be."

"As you say," A smile "I am glad to see the dress fits..."

"It is perfect." She turns and poses, emphasizing how the dress graces every curve and move, and how it impossibly stays in place.

"My Earl of Huntingdon know how to work a thimble" the Vicar says

"And you are wrapped around your Earl's thimbled finger."

"I love the carress of it "Then a sidenote "But I'm really afraid of where a needle might go"

Adam blue screens.

Yeah, Adam's mouth is open, watching.

She smiles at the needle comment, then catches sight of Adam gaping openly. She purses her lips and folds her arms, facing him but angled in a way that emphasizes al the right curves. "Are you attending as a jack-o-lantern, all open-mouthed and silent?"
