"ALso, the contests are unisex" Jack says wiping a glass as he cleans it "Lots of hook ups happen after the matches I've noticed"

"As a matter of fact, it's possible. A lot of times at Pennons 'unofficial' contests rise up" Jack explains

"Oh, like Dirk winning the brawl the other year." a nod from Zane

"Sweet." Adam seems pleased with that.

"Yeah, but honestly those can be more dangerous.. fewer healers of skill, fewer rules"

"So be careful about whose 'contest' you enter there" Jack finishes

A casual shrug. "Good advice."

Jack snerks "YOu, we grumps are full of it. Good advice I mean. Fine, won't rain on your parade before it starts."

"Appreciated" Zane says "Hey, Jack, seen alanza today?"

"Nope. She's an Eshu, out and about I imagine"

"I need to look her up."

"Well, hope she doesn't blow off our date" Zane says "NOt that it's today"

"Yeah? Cool. I like her. And you, I guess." A grin and an elbow.

The grin fades a bit. "She...."

"Yeah, I gotta check in with her."

"What's wrong man?" Zane says confused

"Dude, I don't want to put her business on blast, right? But she was kind of upset and I haven't really seen her since and.... I just want to know she's ok."

"Oh!" Zane says "Upset is a whole nother matter. What happened?"

Adam looks uncomfortable and shakes his head. "On blast, Dude."

"Ah" he nods "Sorry. Just wish I could help, you know?"

"Pretty sure you can, Dude. I mean, talk to her when you see her, listen to her. You care about her?"

"Well, yeah as a friend...maybe more... you?"

"Same. So yeah, just be there and support her, you know."

"I know... be helpful if I knew what I was supporting her about but on blast iso n blast" Zane shrugs

"What the hell does 'on blast' mean?" Jack grunts

"Like.... spread someone's business all over. Talking about them. Uh.... dirty laundry."

"Ah, gotcha" The grump nods "Now you're speaking my lingo. Refills?"

And a new glass is filled for each

Adam is nonchalantly very pleased.

And Alanza comes in "Hey, if it isn't my two favorite guys" She sits down nearby "Hi, Jack"

"Hey, traveler..welcome back" Jack says "What'll it be?"

"Alanza!" Adam is pleased (and perhaps relieved) and hops up to kiss her cheek.

Zane does the same, the other cheek

"Hi guys" she laughs "I'll have what they're having, it seems to make them sweet"

Adam grins a little wickedly at Zane.

"Gold Lion Beer..ala vince" Jack explains

She takes it and tries some, "It is good. Anyway, I'm feeling better now..." And she looks tempted to explain why

"Hey" Adam says with genuine care and concern. "I know you were upset. I'm sorry. It's good you're feeling better."

"I had a talk with some of my girlfriends. I just felt like shit... if I'd been quicker with the beagle"
