Adam clenches the 1d8 in his fist, focusing. With the other hand, he dribbles.

And... there's a surge... and through the air he leaps.... and... instead of weak and empty, he feels.. the same

"WWWOOHHHOOOO!!!!" Adam vents a burst of joy as it WORKS!

"Nice! Now look at the die again."

Adam lands and opens his hand to look.

It's still there, but now, it has no glow, no 'gut pull'

"The glamour in it is spent, but don't feel bad. Over time it may accumulate it again, could take years, but.. it helps you remember yourself"

Adam nods. "I've seen Fae using dross before. And I know they have to have Glamour to stay Fae, keep from fading away. I've helped Fae like that."

"Sorry, Of course you do. And I don't mean to sell what you've learned already short. It's just... you're now fae yourself."

Adam frowns and looks away.

"I wish you'd stop saying that, Sir."

"I'll try to do it less, but may I ask why it offends?"

" 'Cause I'm not."

"But you are.. you're just not awake yet. Though that. that is the mystery on why not" He says

"Yeah. Everyone keeps saying."

"But you feel like the proof is in the pudding? Why don't you have the ears and the full power etc?"

He nods.

"I wish I could say I knew." Magnus says "But I understand why it would drive you crazy. It's making ME frustrated at times and I can only imagine. You aren't doing anything wrong. So I'm not frustrated with you, just the.. event of it? If that makes sense? "

"No, I get it." He shrugs.

"Okay, look on the bright side?"

"I try to!" Adam finds a weak grin.

"Right.. you clearly are breaking into a new cantrip..." A grin "And you can use dross. This is big"

"What magic can you do?"

"Oh.. I can dictum, I can look back in time..and read omens." Magnus says "Mostly stuff that helps me with my detective work. Knowledge is power for me"

"That makes sense." He agrees.

"Does magic always do that? I mean, like, you get magic that helps you do what you do?"

"It.. has a tendency to fit.. not always, but yes ... those who are more physical often fall into things like priimal, wayfare, and so on... but even that's not a hard and fast rule. I knew a big brute of a redcap who was quite good at soothsay"

"So these are the magics I'm supposed to have?"

"Oh, don't assume you're limited"

"There might be more? How do I find out?"

"Practice and play" A grin "This is fun, or meant to be"

"Yeah. Ok." He nods.

"Think of it as trying out for a new sport. We're not doing an actual score, you're just learning where you feel you have the msot talent, and learn what you want to do and what you're willilng to work at. Make sense?"

"Yeah! And I'm not afraid of the work."

"I noticed that. I think Grand Dame Bondraste said I was too rough on you. Maybe I was, but one thing we all agree on- You're not shy about effort."

Adam smiles. "I guess that's something."

"It is."

Adam bounces the basketball and takes it for a lay-up. Swish "What's next?"

"So what's next? Actually, that's mostly it. You need to restore you glamour"

He dribbles as he speaks. "You do that with musing, right?"

"Yes, but we're not doing that today, however I can talk about it. " he nods "normally it has to do with concepts like building trust, inspiring hope, restoring faith... love that sort of thing. Every kithain has an area of expertise"

He frowns. "How do you do that?"

"It's hard to explain... but I'll try" And he does.

".... wow. That's a lot. Like, It'd take a long time. Worth it, though."

"Yes.. but you have to be careful... musing and ravaging.. .it's like the light and dark side of our nature.. what you can build to craft a fountain of glamour that bestows slow and easy, you can break to get a fast fix... that latter is called Ravaging..and you should never ever do it. It's like killing the goose that lays the golden eggs. The right to dream frowns on it"

"And the Liam will hunt you down for it too"

Adam goes very quiet. "Yeah. I know."

"You've met a person who was ravaged?"

"No. At least, not that I know of. Let's talk about something else. Can you use Glamour to Muse?"

"That's tricky... you should never directly infuse glamour into a person... that's not musing that's.. like wanting to get warmth by setting another person on fire"
