Stevi spreads word that Adam is not half bad... in a way that indicates BOTH Halves were good.

Nabuni becomes pretty popular herself, and not JUST because of her carnal gifts. She appears to be making almost plutonic friendships.

The rabbit meal by the way, was fantastic!

Adam does not mind that perhaps his talents are being better known, either.

And he gets a visitor, one Zane Wayburton

"Hey man" Zane says, carrying a cane

"Dude!" Happy to see him. Adam grabs him and hugs him. "What's up?"

Hug back "Oh crazy stuff man. Got a quest, saved a treasure, that sort of thing... and the ladies seem to be liking me so there's that" A grin "how are you?"

"No quest, no treasure, did magic, ladies happy to see me too." Adam short-hands.

"C'mon! Let's hang out... uh, how about Jack's downstairs?"

"Ha. The ladies is always..wait, did magic?"

And yes, he readies to follow him "Sure, Jack's cool"

Adam explains as they head down. "Yeah." happy pride "I did.... I think Sir Magnus said it was Hopping? No, Hopscotch, like that little girl's chalk game thing? Sank a shot with it. And used dross, too!"

"Hopscotch? Oh dude, you have TWO under your hat..well, the start of two. Primal and Wayfare are both super handy, and kind of boss... soon you'll be an element bending bullet time bad ass..." They open the door to Jack's and help themselves down.

Looks like it's just them, and Jack

Jack looks up "What'll it be boys?"

"What'll you serve us?" Adam asks back with a grin.

"I don't card down here, but I'm limiting you as I see fit. So the harder the fewer, fair?"

"Fair! Beer, please."

"Same" Zane chimes

Two beers are produced, "Here, Golden Lion beer. Vince's formula"

"Oh, cool! Vince is cool." Adam tries it.

Certainly better than most mass produced domestic beers. Light but not 'lite'

"I like it."

"Pretty good" Zane says "Things at the ole Rivervale are gearing up for Pennons... Basil wants to try out for the melee.. but I don't think he's ready. Then again, he's better than I was when I was a fledge. I bet this place is going to be swamped. Fiona love fighting and festivals. You coming to Rivervale for Pennons or staying here for it?"

"Probably here. I guess that's what my mentors want? And Sir Sergei might need me."

"Ah, I understand" He sighs "As a Pillar of the MOuntain I probably need to root here for the home team. You're going to miss the dance off though"

"They'll probably have dancing here, right?" Then Adam grins.

"Probably, but this is for a prize. And more girls are signing up than guys" A grin on Zane's face "It's like the flip side of the best minstrels"

Jack grunts "That's not a bad idea. I might suggest it to the baroness here"

"See?" he swigs like a pro "What's the prize?"

"Not sure what the grand prize is" Zane admits "But I bet third place at least gets like a meal for him or her self and a few friends, which when you have cooks like the Hearth is no small prize. Dude, you can't tell me you don't miss her homemade barbecue chicken pizza"

"Yeah, that was pretty good. Miss Kerri doing ok these days?" A nostalgic grin "Sally Mae?"

"Miss Kerri's still the one holding back the chaos... I mean, the Chief's the boss, but damn, the Hearth's not just a Milf, she's got it all covered. " A sly look at mention of Sally Mae "She's really into her sidhe boyfriend...about sent her relations into a tizzy...but she's like screw that bias. Oh, and she's busy as heck in other things too. Knight's Heart? Dude, they've got like five riders in Bergen"

A sigh. "Damn. Yeah, well. Good for her." That last more firmly.

"Damn? " Horned head tilt

A shrug and sheepish smile. "Glad she's got someone, and that Knight's Heart is doing well for her."

"But which part was the damn for?" Zane says 'Come on man, you can tell me"

"Well, might be I have a -little- torch for her....."

"Ah, you romantic you. Yeah, ,she's a tall glass of water " He nods agreeing "But hey, if Carowyn breaks her heart we'll 'talk to him'. You know?"

"Hell yeah." A glower.

Swig.

And a swig on Zane's part too "But so far, he seems cool."

Then a look "So... You trying anything out for Pennons here?"

"Don't know. I guess not." Shrug.

Jack says "Hey, if you want to be part of Pennons you should say so. I don't know if they'd put you wit the fledges or not, but you'd probably get a shot"

Zane looks up "Yeah?"

"Yeah." Jack assures

"I guess it could be cool." He considers.
