"Baron" he bows "If you're looking for Dame Temerity she's just returned from her mission"

"Her... yes, well, no, actually. I wasn't, specifically. Just, ah, having a wander." He pauses. "How are you?" He clears his throat.

"Pretty good, Baron, I mean, the Mandalorian was as great as everyone said, and I've got Disney plus so this 'isolation' at home isn't so bad. Wish I could say the same for others but I'm sitting pretty relatively speaking"

August nods. "I know have school helps with it all, for me. I wish there was more I could do to help, of course, but the Right of Ignorance requires I am mindful of how things will appear to mortals if I do -everything- I can."

"I've got a friend who is..pretty down, he's a dreamer but I'd like to think I'd help him out regardless. " The Thane says "But it's not easy for him, or any mortal now . So much uncertainty, it weighs on them. and, speaking as a guardian dream in flesh, it's very frustrating I can't help him more"

August nods. "You feel helpless to help them. I often feel the same way. I have found it sometimes helps to take small steps; not much, but a little?"

"Well, I try to visit him through his window.. you know. Tap, maybe leave him a gift . Some supplies to cut down on his food costs."

"It is vital to care for the body, and mortal concerns. What makes him a Dreamer, if I can ask?"

"He is the greatest Star Wars fan fic writer I've ever known" he says

That raises the young baron's eyebrows. He knows Star Wars, of course, and has led others through the Saga but he is not the SuperFan Oswald is. He knows to take these words for what they are worth.

"if Disney would hire him, they'd have like a spin off that would rock their world, but he's got anxieties and more.. and won't write non star wars stuff so... he's got his day job.well, had his day job."

"What did he do?" Gently.

"He worked at a bowling alley, it's closed now"

"Of course." August murmurs.

"Yeah, but it was just to pay the bills. his real love was Jedi Action and forbidden romance"

"Is he surviving as a Dreamer?"

"Oh he's stressed, having a harder time writing... so it's harder to muse him. But no one pays him for fan fic if that's what you mean"

"No, of course not." A faint chuckle. "There are only a few known cases of that."

"And it must be more difficult to muse him from a social distance."

"Like I said, sometimes I knock on his window... so it's only a few feet and he can hear my voice but..yeah. It's not the same. I send him good rapport I hope, you know, stuff what i like and don't like...but in an ecouraging way. He's a bit worried that slave ouffits are sexist. I told him it's okay to have a heroine in one if she gets to strangle the guy who forced her into it later in the story- that's empowerment AND va va voom"

A pause "I think the Fiona are rubbing off on me a bit"

August clears his throat. "Ah. Yes. Although, they did do that strangling bit in the movie."

"I'm sure you thought of that, though."

"Yes, he pointed that out, so we agreed she should get to impale him later with a shaft of carbonite"

He brightens. "Excellent!"

"Thanks" He says proudly "I mentioned it as a way and he really filled out the detail. It's not the gore, it's the fierceness of her you know? "

"He captures that spirit." August understands.

"Exactly. I mean, I've done some Star Wars fan fic myself, but I worry my own is lack luster... it all starts great in my head, then crumbles"

"I don't think that is an uncommon experience for many writers." August commiserates.

"Have you tried writing fiction, Sir.. Pardon, Baron August?"

"No." simply.

"I've read about it, of course."

"Maybe you should try it, Baron. It can be kind of freeing in small doses"

"To be honest, I've done school assignments where I wrote fiction but I didn't know that you meant the same thing." Apologetically.

"Well, if you write about what interests you or makes you happy it's a bit different from being told. Mind you, the baroness might love a mushy romantic short story from you just because it's from you, like she would love a poem. But sometimes you just want to write to get something out of your head done the way you think it should be"

"Ah, yes. Of course. Oswald is there anything I can do to help with your Dreamer? I don't mean to intrude but... well. Liam."

"No insult taken, my Lord" he says "Actually, maybe you could. Would it be okay if I sent you some of his fiction? Someone else's view who he doesn't know as a friend might mean more, if you know what I mean?"

"If you think it would help, I'd be happy to." August agrees.

"Thanks!" he beams "I think it really would. I appreciate it, Baron. I owe you"

"Not at all Thane. It's my honor to be of service."

"Well, if I can I'll still try to do you or yours a good turn. "

"You do every day, Thane." With a smile.

The big man blushes "Thank you"

"Send the fiction by whenever you have it. Good day, Thane." Pleasantly, and August strolls on.

Oswald nods and off August goes

Heading back towards his study, unless court is over?

The people moving away from the audience chamber would suggest that that is so.

He drifts in that direction, then.

Delores is scratching notes "Only two duels, and one person breaking out in tears. I'd say that went smoothly, my liege" Delores smiles

"Some days I feel I ought to sell tickets," Coradel replies with some amusement. Then she spots August approaching. "Ah, my love, rescue me!" she smiles and reaches a hand to him.
