Vashti's room is a haven of sorts, a place few think to check if looking for Zara.

Tea is served, "So the passing over was satisfactory?"

"Oh, it was all the familiar ritual..."

"Comfort in dressing patterns, and strength in the material persists when followed"

She nods. "It was nice."

Vashti says "Ah, you did miss the Easter situation... most curious. Ponce De Leon did make play I suspect.... and of course, with so many pooka, colorful eggs were perfectly safe to indulge in." She sighs "Silly creatures, Pooka. I wonder why I tolerate them"

"Oh?"

"Indeed, where last day of Autumn and early days of spring shift, the dog days were truly upon us"

"So, quite a day of pranks?"

"Oh, tears were shed among the childlings, of course," She says then adds "Tis not like now , with the celebration over Sir Magnus research into lead"

Eyebrow.

"The poor member of House Vince was shot." She explains more clearly with tea

"Whyfore was Magnus shot?"

"Alas, those poor slavers lively hoods were threatened"

"...Slavers?" Narrow eyes, a dangerous edge.

A sip then "Magnus got caught because he was impeding the flow of traffic" and she nods

"And the villains? What of them?"

"Safe and sound in the line of fire about to be launched by the baroness , the baron, and their dragon friend... "

A look "oh sister, surely thou would not wish to intrude on their plans for retribution and liberation? Thouh knowest sidhe never need aid"

"Surely never."

"now, alas, I am no slaugh, for I am a soft voiced individual ... but if I were hoping for more news on what might be occuring in the month of August, I might decide Velvet was back in style"

"Ah? What a good girl she is."

"Methinks she has had terrible role models" A rare simple opposite speak and praise

A soft chuff of laughter.

A smile thin but sincere

And Zara has more to look into later.

She does, but for now? Tea.

While pooka can be hard to parse, Zara does get a bit more information here and there.

And some is just pleasant conversation and yes, a bit of boasting and showing off

"I was, of course, inspired by the current troubles to reach new lows. "

Showing off the outfit

"Oh! That is most delightful! Sister, I must needs commission one, immediately!"

Delighted look, "I shall see to it, would you prefer a different flower?"

"Mmm... lillies?"

"I will surely forget it" She nods though

"My so very talented sister." She kisses her fingertips and blows gently on them.

A blush "Aye, well, thou art bound by contract to say so"

"I do not begrudge this."

"Ah, well, Shalimar is under similar contract. One can't trust a word a pooka says so I ingnore his base flattrery"

"Indeed. Accept only high flattery. As florid as possible."

A blush along her powdered face, then a smile "How is the Earl Of Hunt?"

Happy sigh!

"My artist is soft of heart, and smells of new grass and summer sun..."

"And yet, I love him all the more for it."

"It is a rare summer sun that longs to kiss the face of the autumn river" She nods "That's why I let him live"

Another raspy laugh.

"One notices he has a new shield with a large pug baying?" Curious

"Oui!"

"OH! You must see!" She pulls out a book, one that smells of glamour and dusty vanilla (as all old books ought)
