August smiles warmly at her alarm and calms her with a hand on her leg. "Yes. On top of it, and on top of him, demanding he sleep."

She does relax "ha.. yeah, that'll pin him. Whew. Okay. I'm glad he's okay. I bet Claire was about ready to murder him.. well, make him regret nearly getting murdered anyway. And are YOU and Coradel okay after that news?"

"We haven't had a chance to speak together of it. I'm concerned for him, of course, and I would like to assist him. It was a matter of human trafficking." A frown.

"oh that shit has to stop" She scowls "Goes without saying. You're taking it on huh? "

"He hasn't given us much information to go on, or take over with."

"Probably trying to hog the danger to himself." A sigh "A bit selfish sometimes that man"

August is quiet a moment. "I never know what to say to that kind of thing." Bemused.

"Well, he's a Fiona, he should know better" a smile

"But the important thing is you try to understand, and never fail to help"

"I could not do otherwise." Seriously.

Leo nods "You never could" She agrees

A shy smile.

"Ah, school is going well. I imagine we'll talk more about it of an evening but.... for both of us, I mean. Coradel and I."

"Good! I know she had doubts about her academic chops but she's actually rather intuitive and well, you're an ace at it"

August is probably unaware of how proud his expression is. "She's extremely smart, intuitively."

"She is. Can cut through the tall grass with a leap"

He nods.

"Well. I suppose I should let you get back to, ah, what you were doing."

"Sunning? " She smiles

"Yes."

"Thanks. Oh... before you go, thought you should know, the kids are going to invite you to their play."

"The... the childlings?"

"Yup. Isis and the gang. They're doing "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat'" She says

He blinks. "That's... very ambitious."

"August, they're great kids, but let's face it, they're singing is going to be off key, their acting terrible, and at least 5 of the muses are going to cry... so buddy, I'm glad it's you they're inviting"

"Well, surely not -only- me." he insists with some amusement.

"I arranged to be on guard duty at taht time so I'm out" Smug

"Well.... there are other people in the freehold." He points out.

"Find out who you're fellow victims are"

"Why?"

"They may not know" She says and lounges

"They may not know......?"

"Those poor unfortunate souls" She says

August settles back, thinking.

"If... I know who the rest of the invitees are.... then I... am ... forewarned? And forearmed?"

"Maybe " she smiles

He gives a little, bewildered, nod. "Ah. Thank you. I'll, ah, see what I can find out."

And she lounges

He nods, stands, turns to go... pauses... looks back at her.

She lowers her shades and a smile "Don't be a stranger, August. "

And she looks at him fondly

"I wanted to say. You're looking very attractive today, and it was very nice to catch up with you, Leonora." Sincerely.

"THank you, August" She smiles at him

"And I was happy to see you again too"

"You're welcome." Soberly. And he turns, and goes.

And off he goes.

He thinks as he walks in the general direction of his study about the other notes Velvet left.
