Siv seems a bit dazed as she walks through the Earth Runes halls.

Oh, her glamour is fine.

But she does seem a bit dazed.

"Captain?" Coradel pauses as she approaches her. She appears to be coming back from a ride.

the captain bows though it takes her a moment, "Begging your pardon, Baroness, but could you mention something shallow, or at least material?"

odd request

"Material? Ah..." A puzzled blink. "Dinner plates? Toothbrushes?"

"That'll do it" Seeing the expression "I asked.. well, I actually got ahead of my studies... and I thought 'oh, I was going to study the spiritual' so .. uhm... asked Baron August about Catholicism, then Sir Bachdion heard about it and gave me news on Paganism and Neo paganism with a Hellenocentric focus... and then Velvet, to help, gave me books on Judiasm that were in the library and then... everyone offered me... Oswald actually gave me book called 'Zen Jedi' which he says is 'kind of like Buddhism but fun ' so the for the last day and a half I've uhm.. I think twas Shalimar who broke me. What the bloody hell is a Spaghetti Monster?"

Bemused. "Something that I think might show up if we invoke it too often. Captain, you've taken on an adventure into waters I've only waded in. Have you come to any conclusions about it all?"

"I would love to be part of something greater, but I find the deeper I get, the more I kind of resent it... something contrary in me." Confused "It's hard to explain, but I went to this part of the Dreaming where I was.. a priestess of sorts to a god that only existed in fiction. I felt surprisngly serene, centered. It stuck with me"

"So...you're fine with religion as long as you're in charge?" Coradel links an arm with Siv and resumes their stroll, perhaps in search of a pot of tea.

Siv laughs "Oh my, perhaps? " Hooking arm in arm with her and moving along "I think there's a lot of beauty in some of the big three... but I do love the stories of nordic sorts.. and then there's some appeal to scandalizing me mother by going "i'm following the Finnish Pantheon mom'.. though if it made me happy she'd endure so wht's the point in teasing her Norwegian pride? What of you, Coradel? If I maybe informal. You believe that there is something akin to the Dreaming or Da'an but with a guiding hand behind it? Complicates things that if you go back far enough we were worshiped as gods ourselves"

"I believe I may have been so adored much more recently than that. Some young mortal men simply cannot seem to keep from walking into lampposts near me," she says with a casual shrug and a wink. "But to your point...well, I don't think about it much. I know it means a great deal to August, the entire religious experience, and I studied the Cana-thing before we were married. It's...." A thoughtful pause. "I adore how it makes him glow in the midst of a service...but it doesn't affect me nearly as deeply as it does him."

"No shame in that," Siv says "but I have learned my father gains some strength from it too and... I guess, just as I seek to understand Norweigan culture and language as part of my heritage and to know me mum better, a part of me wants to understand faith to know da better.... though I also still remember what itw as like to be so..sure that something in this universe greater than myself looked down and said 'hey you, you're all right'"

"Mm." A noncommittal sound. "I suppose. For me, the notion of Da'an does that just fine, for as much as I need such a sense."

"Maybe I just want Da'an to have a face I can imagine smiling" She says with a chuckle "Who knows? Oh..but my brain is spinning from cosmic questions and I need a break from that break. How goes for you, Baroness?"

"Lovely, for the most part. The obligation to finish out the semester on my cellphone is tedious, but manageable. Making up for it with plenty of practical study," she says, indicating her riding crop.

"Samson probably loves the extra attention. He's a nice horse. So modest"

"Modest?" She laughs. "Oh, he's about as modest as I am, Captain, and you know that for a fact I hope."

"You really need to meet Star and Stormwake, compared to them that sweet Stallion of yours is humility in equine form" Siv explains a bit about the horses, and how her mother won Stormwake, and how Star came to them and to become Dagmar's horse.

"Well, from what you say, it sounds as if Stormwake has earned a bit of bragging rights, having quested with your mother. Samson is a wonderful steed, but he has not had that experience in the Dreaming."

"Aye. Well, I am not as horse crazy as Dagmar or perhaps even mom... but I understand the freedom it can mean. My ship is the same for me." A blush "Once I talked Jonas into turning into a horse so I could joust."

"Oh? And how exactly did that go?"

"Oh. If I recall, I almost lost him.. and there was this falling off a cliff thing... it's all very complicated.. oh and he didn't want to talk to me for awhile" Sheepish " It seemed like SUCH a good idea at the time"

Coradel laughs. "They all seem like good ideas at the time.

"They do" she says with a laugh "I get myself in so much trouble out of things I was sure were so sure"

"Well, that's when Da'an gets jealous that you had a better idea than it could come up with, and has to take revenge, of course!"

"That explains so Much" She says

"Doesn't it?" she says with delight. "Now, come take tea with me and tell me more about riding that boyfriend of yours." A wink and she asks a boggan for a tea set to be brought out to the garden.

"oh glad to," She moves to join her . Tea isn't her thing but she knows how to be social an she's happy to brag about Jonas.

Coradel enjoys the bragging, and offers suggestions for various other animal forms he might put to interesting use. "I hear bonobos are...adept."

And August appears walking from the dilapidated car park outside the old, grand house.... and into the Freehold Grand Manor's grounds.

A blush at something "I ..prefer seaside lo..." A cough "Oh look , tis August"

"Ah! August! Come take tea with us, my love."

Her voice carries across the gardens to him, as if the rolls of lawn want to help it on its way.

He looks up from his notebook, and his face illuminates suddenly. He heads towards them.

Siv waves

Coradel begins to pour a cup for him. How clever for the boggans to know to include extra cups on the tea tray!

He waves his notebook back. Then switches the notebook to his other hand and waves.

"Please, Baroness.. no bonobos speculations" In a low voice "Least not with Baron August here"

"You spoil my fun, Captain," she murmurs back with a smile. "But fine." Then as he draws near, "August, where are you back from?"

"Oh, I was at school. At home. Ah, on the computer."

"Ahhh, yes. Better to do that there. You made progress?" She indicates he should take a seat and offers him tea.

"Oh, yes. The balance between freedom and security, especially now...... " He sighs, looking fatigued by the efforts.

"August? Do you need glamour?" Forgetting rank for a moment ,Siv kens him

"Ohh..." A sympathetic sound, and she stirs a bit of extra glamour into his tea as she offers it.

And a wink to Siv as she does so.

"Oh, thank you." He sips, blinks. "You did that on purpose."

"Course she did," Siv says "You had it coming by needing it"

"I hardly think you mind, my love. I can share more with you later," she purrs and sips her own tea, giving him a demure look over the edge of the cup.
